We loved our stay at Hotel Monsieur Aristide. It's a quintessentially Parisian hotel, full of life and charm. The hotel has a great bar area that hosts cabarets and live music at the weekend, a courtyard with a piano and a terrace for casual dining and smoking outdoors. They are almost always busy! The staff are all characters, hospitable, warm, welcoming, and keen to ensure you have the best possible experience of Paris. We received great advice prior to our arrival on where to eat and places to visit. The night manager was amazing and available at all hours, offering help, coffee, wine, food, advice, whatever we asked for! It really was a great experience.

Breakfast was quite expensive .

Ideal location for restaurants, shops and Metro. Room had a lovely terrace. Hotel was very quiet. Staff were very welcoming and reception was 24/7.

The shower in room 004 didn't seem to have temperature control so the water quickly became too hot to use.

Very cozy room, nicely decorated, all what you need, spacious. Staff extremely gentle, a pleasure to talk with. Nice terrace to enjoy piano and a drink. Good quality breakfast! To any future stop in Paris…we’ll come back!

The shower took a minute to figure out because it was stuck on hot but we used some muscle to get it to work then it was great!

Nothing really. There's a loud bar nearby so just ask in advance to be in the top floor if you're staying on a Friday night. I don't know if that was just a one off for a party or something though? There was no noise on Saturday night. In general the area was very quiet at night.

Everyone working at the hotel was so friendly and chatty. Everyone we spoke to was so patient and happy to help. Even on Sunday night when everything was closed for the night, the gentleman on reception was kind enough to run over and serve us at the bar :) Everything is so lovely and well designed, thoughtful additions to the room and very stylish. The rooms are a fine size, if you have full 30kg luggage you might struggle but for a weekend in Paris with hand luggage it's perfect. Everything is more eco friendly than usual as well, normal size toiletries to use instead of those wasteful mini toiletries that just get thrown away, biodegradable teabags instead of all those plastic milk and coffee capsules, even the kettle was stylish lol. The bar area was lovely and we had a drink there every night, the cocktails are really interesting and well made. We felt really happy and relieved that we chose such a lovely little hotel for our trip, Paris can be pretty stressful and hectic so it's like coming into an oasis of calm at the end of the day. Be warned that there's a bar nearby that plays loud music, the windows are well soundproofed but nothing could compete with that bar - if you get annoyed by music at night, ask for a top floor room! It didn't bother us as we could sleep through it. The location is great, there's a nice restaurant in the hotel or one on the next corner along if you don't want to search for somewhere to eat on your first night. The main road has loads of cafes/restaurants, it's a little touristy but not that bad, the food is still nice. If I came back to Paris I would literally only book this hotel again because the people working here were so nice!

The shower was broken unfortunately and couldn’t be fixed during the duration of our stay (2 nights). The streets are also very loud at night. Other than that it was perfect!

You have to leave your room key at the front every time you depart the hotel. Not bad but not ideal.

The room was nice and comfortable. Walking distance to metro and Moulin Rouge. Great food options in the area. It was a 15 min cab ride from Paris Est station.
