Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesPull up bed is really uncomfortable.
Room had all necessary equipment other than a double bed - which I think is a very important item.

NetherlandsThe breakfast is minimalistic and the backside of the hotel faces a railway track, which is not ideal if you're sensitive to noise when sleeping and like to sleep with open window.
Great value for money, clean, good bed, good location near to railway station.

SwitzerlandNo hair dryer (you can ask front desk for one), a bit loud when people/kids pass by since I was on the ground floor (but quiet in the night).
Nice little studio with everything you need in your room, small kitchen, washroom + shower (includes 2 towels, soap, shower & shampoo), desk, comfy bed. Close to the station which is convenient if you’re doing more travelling outside of Strasbourg as well, but not so much if you only want to see this city.

SerbiaThe window looked on a loud street, so the sleeping was not so good. Bed below that is like a drawer is moving around the room when you are sleeping on it :) And in the morning we felt some weird smell coming from the sink...
The location was okay, the object is near the train station and the tram F and busses 2 and 10 stop in front of the object. Room has a little kitchen so that is probably great for people staying longer than one night.

FranceThe staff aren’t very welcoming. Other than that, all is good.
I really liked the location and how easy it is to navigate the city. It’s also very close from the TGV which is great. The heating system was great and it was a very nice stay.

FranceI did not like the soft pillows they are too small for me, besides, the ventilation noise and most importantly the pressure in the shower is too poor even after changing the room.
I like the kindness of the staff and the warmth of the room you can still see trains pass in front of your window without having to tolerate any noise. Beside the Christmas Tree in the lobby.

United KingdomBed is quite small, so it you're a tall or wide person it's not that comfortable. Second pull out bed not at the same height as the main bed. Room feels a bit like a prison cell so would be very tight for two people.
Room had everything as listed, it was mostly clean (a few hairs in the bathroom - but that can happen). Location is close to the train station and close to the center.

PolandOn the other hand, doors seem not soundproof enough and other guests are heard once coming back to their rooms.
Despite very close location to railway, windows are soundproof. Le Petite France is in the walking distance (around 25' of walk). The central station is also quite close (10' walk).

PolandThe room could have been more clean. Especially the cooking tools and cutlery, I found them a bit dirty and greasy. One has the impression that they don't clean them thoroughly between clients. In the current situation, the hotel staff should pay more attention to it.
Excellent staff! I had an issue in my room and the receptionist fixed it immediately.

GreeceKeep in mind that the kitchen is not equioped for cooking apart from snacks. Also during summer it can get really hot in the room and there's no aircondition.
The room was clean and quite spacious,we had no issue with the folding bed. It's value for money and within walking distance to the city center and train station. Also if you close the windows you don't hear the noise from outside which is perfect because it's a busy street & residential area.

Very close to the old city centre at a good value! Great WiFi connection, the trains aren’t too loud if you manage to roll down the blind all the way. Clean bed, bathroom and kitchenette.
