How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I got charged for a breakfast when I didn't have one and I told them I would be leaving before breakfast.

The restaurant in the hotel is good, but there are some dangerous shortcomings. I ate there 3 nights, and each night, my food was undercooked. This was very alarming when the fried chicken strips that I ordered were completely raw on the inside with a deceptively crispy fried coating on the outside. I let the staff know, showing the raw chicken, and they then cooked the chicken and paid for my meal, which I appreciate.
Clean and good sleeping quarters with clean bathroom.

The restaurant portions quite small for the price.
The size and comfort of the bed, the spacious room, the coffee was good, the trolleys, easy to find and park, decent restaurant - easy to get a glass of water, big tv, great shower, nicely decorated.

Breakfast was chaos, no cutlery or plates, the restaraunt was full of travellers and everyone was searching for cutlery, plates just clarity! and there were no staff to be seen the majority of the time. Shame as the breakfast items themselves were nice,
It was a good stop off place on roadtrip. Friendly staff and decor was nice

The only fault, we are both big coffee drinkers & after we'd had a shocking trip over due to delays & accidents on the toll roads we could only get a coffee from the bar and couldn't make one in the room, minor if you don't want coffee but we'd been on the road from 6am and arrived at the hotel around 22:30. Another slightly odd "addition" to the room was a cross trainer, dumbbells and a bench, but had I been travelling with work on my own, I'd have probably used them, not a criticism, just odd.
We booked as an overnight stay on route to Spain for Christmas, great location, very quiet, just off the motorway, petrol station very close by, great location. Staff were ultra friendly and helpful, they all spoke great English which is good as my French is shocking.

Couldn't get app to work for electric car charging and staff couldn't help as it was an outside company. Room was fine for an overnight stay. Had a pleasant evening.
Liked the check in and the bar. Outdoor facilities closed unfortunately.

The bed of the kids (sofa bed) was not very comfortable

The meal was awful, the staff overworked possibly through shortage. We waited for our evening meal booking for ages, staff just walked by no explanation, no words of apology nothing
Room was ok but no coffee in the room. The excuse was the environment and we were requested to take an empty mug to reception. Not easy first thing in the morning when not suitably dressed.

Really welcoming property lovely lobby area. Extremely dog friendly was given bowls by reception. The water machine and glass bottles in the lobby was great which meant we could have as much cold and sparkling water in the room. The bed was big and super comfy. The additional sofa bed was lovely and spacious especially when travelling with a dog. The rooms have been modernised and are tastefully decorated. We used this as an overnight pitstop whilst travelling in France so didn’t make use of the other facilities like the pool.
