Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

GermanyThere is nothing in the surroundings, no restaurants or shopping facilities. It was not a problem but needed to be planned every day.
We spend five days in the "room in the tree", a most idyllic and calm place, accompanied by the sound of river Golo's cascades and panoramic views to the mountains. After beautiful hikes in the valleys and to mountain tops of Haute Corse, we could take a refreshing swim in the pool, comfortably warm in early May already, and tired legs could relax in the jacuzzi. Breakfast with fresh bread and joghurt served by the poolside every morning.

o fil de l'eau is a small paradise at a 15/20 minutes drive from Corte. The staff are really kind and was ready to help with anything needed. The apartments around the pool and closer to the river are really cosy. There's a pool and jacuzzi to relax in and the river runs close to the place. There's enough to do like a petange field, games to play. And a lot of hikes & nice places to visit nearby.

An absolute gem of a place, tucked away in the back of beyond, yet only 15 minutes drive from cultural Corte and 40 minutes from Bastia airport. Really friendly hosts, who prepare your breakfast in a basket and leave for you to eat on your terrace or in your very well-equipped and stylish gites, Along the edge of an invigorating river, there’s a jacuzzi to revive in and deckchairs and loungers placed strategically across the site to capture every ray of sun. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be back. The owners speak English, but it helps if you have some French! Merci et vi ringrazziu!

BahrainThis place has great potential, but it is in need of some external/grounds overall and continued maintenance, upkeep and painting, ie. the pool edges are sharp, and decking in areas is lifting or dipping. Aesthetically, some more private would be great, between the pool and the car park. Remove the trees opposite the hot tub - the trees obscure the amazing view. We would have loved more access to the kitchen (they have two), ice, clean cutlery/plates, salt/pepper etc. One of the kitchens looks like a bar and could be a perfect guest bar and offer evening drinks and socialising. Since we are miles from anywhere there is a great opportunity missed to host little evening events for guests, should they wish. Rather than just a meal. The couple/family who run it are very friendly and could boost their customer service and communications more with guests. Ask them what they'd like to do whilst they are there. Maybe even a mini-welcome Apero? Oddly, we received a 'thank you for offering to arrive after 7 pm' message, before our arrival, which threw our plans that day and rather a challenge with kids, who were desperate for the pool.
A great location, in the middle of nowhere but situated right by a cold river. Which made our stay, great to head down a few steps and swim in there to cool off a few times a day. We preferred it to the pool. The AC was in great working order, a decent-sized fridge and microwave. All clean. Our room was a cool cabin overlooking the pool, with outside seating. Wifi. A hamper for breakfast in a funky cooler. Shaded parking.
