The couple running this hotel really care about the experience of their guests and are friendly and helpful. They accommodated my need for gluten free breakfast with care and consideration and the hotel itself is lovely, even better than the pictures on the website. They really pay attention to detail and it will make your stay very smooth in this surprisingly interesting city.

Excellent property. The staff could not have been more accommodating or friendly. Breakfast was amazing & could be eaten either inside the hotel or outside in the beautiful garden. We intend to return in the future.

The bathroom was a little tight for space but well fitted out.

It’s a very charming house with lovely character and very welcoming reception rooms. The stairs are gorgeous but a bit of a climb. The bedroom was very nice if a little dark. Breakfast was excellent- very freshly prepared and beautifully presented.

Still don't understand the parking rules as the sign says "Private Parking" but it's on street parking and if you are caught before 7.00 pm or after 9.00 pm you get a ticket. Also the large sign for the hotel is sited around the corner and out of sight of the main road, so not the easiest place to find.

Check in was good and informative. Its not always easy to find an open restaurant on Mondays in France and the reception was very helpful. Room was comfortable but tea and coffee was very sparse and no milk.

Everything! Stylishly converted old townhouse, with beautiful walled garden, attractive, comfortable bedroom. Just 5 minutes walk along the river i thé Donjong and old town. Ours had a private terrace and garden backing onto the walled garden. With garden table and chairs. Colour tones in charcoal, cord, black slate tiles with touches of red taking it beyond the standard. Spacious, stylish breakfast room looking onto the garden with well organised buffet. Some direct service of coffee etc combined with excellent buffet. Eggs, croissants, Hal’s and cheeses , fruit salad.. The personal service of the hosts was exceptional. Our car with the pod wouldn’t fit in the underground so they kindly arranged for us to use the private parking with a sister hotel across the road. They helped move our stuff, and enabled us to park our car behind to load our car in the morning. They also advised us about local restaurants. A real gem of a boutique hotel. We’ll return!

We couldn't stay longer!

Beautiful house, very nicely appointed, with parking (a bit tight) at the back. Perhaps the best breakfast we've ever had - everything you could want and more. Convenient location within walking distance of the town centre. Really couldn't fault it.

The room's deco was a bit bland and boring

Excellent location near the city centre, tasteful interior in the communal areas, good choice of breakfast, fantastic bathroom with ample space and great shower, room was quiet and clean with view to garden and private parking space

Very sympathetically renovated large house in the city centre. Pretty gardens, we had the garden room, which is a converted stone summer house with a double height vaulted ceiling. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Very comfy bed. Off street parking is handy.

The pillows were a bit hard for my taste

The hotel was calm, clean and decorated with a very good taste. The personnel were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was very good too. Highly recommend!

Couldn't pick a single fault.

Stayed here after my car broke down nearby and I had my dog. The staff were exceptional and very informative. checked me in with no issues at all, dog was very welcome. Ordered pizza from outside with no issue and had a big room with opening doors right into their walled garden. Even though I was out of time for breakfast, the staff still served me, very very good customer service. Staff spoke to the garage for me several times as they could translate better and also suggested places I could sit with the dog before collecting my car. One of the best hotels I've stayed in. It is also absolutely gorgeous. Traditional French style with hints of Les Mis.

Appalled that the toilet was basically in a cupboard at the end of the bed - with no extractor fan or ventilation. It could easily have been built in to the bathroom, so evidently not much budget has been allocated to the conversion of this particular room (one of the most expensive). Poor bathroom linens which were small and skimpy. The safe was unsecured - a thief could basically pick it up and walk away with it. Patchy wi-Fi. Breakfast expensive. Parking in the vicinity difficult. The garden ponds would benefit from the removal of dead leaves.

Central location. Elegant architecture and stylish decor in the main, common areas. Large bed.

A beautiful building with a large comfortable bedroom and the hotel owner was charming and very helpful. We would be happy to stay there again.
