The limited check-in times were somewhat inconvenient.

On arrival the room given was not overlooking the car park. After discussion were given the room which we requested. We stay here approx four times per year.

Checking in was a bit difficult as the machine is inside the locked car park.

It was clean, conveniently placed and a very good price.

Their signage. I drove past it without noticing it,I parked and walked past it. I asked local people. I eventually asked at another hotel who helped. The problem, Heco was spelt out in different colours with the E as a euro symbol. It may be my eyes but I found it difficult to recognise.

As it Happened the following morning it was pelting rain so I was able to catch the train very conveniently from the city station directly opposite the hotel. I had a lovely evening walk down towards the st Pierre park named for the burgher of Calais from the Rodin sculpture.

The toilet didn't flush, as the cistern stopcock was jammed shut. So I had to take off the top of the cistern and fill it from the shower hose. Rotten woodwork in the room. Smell of tobacco and alcohol in the room.

Staff were helpful. I came by bike, and they moved me to a ground-floor room so I could leave the bike safely there.

Cot bed was dirty. Take your own! The room was ok, but the building was very humid, hence mold in the bathroom. They had it as clean as they could, and it was ok for us, but if you are a bit picky, think twice.

The room offered smelled tobacco. We asked in reception to swap rooms and they did it instantly

Great location opposite Calais Ville, everything was in walking distance. I cannot understand the bad reviews, it is a great place for an overnight stop.

Tbh for a stop over night it did amazingly, you can’t go wrong with £35 a night Close to the ferry with late self check in, easy instructions and what you need for a night Really clean and bed is comfy I’ll def stay there again

The bathroom was covered in black mould, there was water dripping out of the toilet, the room smelled of hard liquor as we got in and everything was kind of damp. The outside of the building was crumbling to pieces.

We had a very nice Gentleman at the front desk! There was also a secured space for parking, with just a little fee of 2€.

Its a budget basic hotel, perfect for breaking the journey up at Calais. Suit a family or single traveller alike. It has a locked carpark at night. Felt safe.

My room was clean and well prepared. Everything was working and was satisfactory. The greeting at reception was pleasant and friendly and everything was explained to me clearly. I slept well and awoke to go for a very nice breakfast which set me up fot my ongoing journy! Well done and Thank you again HECO Calais Centre-Gare

It was close to sea

Everything was fine. Especially for the price.

I travelled with my family and we had a very good stay. We arrived at 2 at night and had trouble using a code to access the car park. When we used a buzzer the operator woke a receptionist who came to help us. He was very helpful and welcoming when he was assisting us despite the fact he had probably been woken up. The reception closes at 9pm. In the morning the same person, Omar served breakfast. It was ok for the price and the service was amazing. Omar is a real asset. Our stay was really pleasant mainly due to the excellent service we received. The rooms are ok, clean but dated. There was soap, shampoo, heating, towels, hot water. TV had no signal. The room was very quiet. Just as requested.
