Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

TurkeyIn our room, heaters were a bit insufficient; it was not too cold, but if you get cold quickly, you'd better ask for additional heaters (they have mobile heaters should you request them). Once these additional mobile heaters were placed in our room (which were not taking up much space), the second night was warm. Also, the bath was colder than the rest of the room because the heater in the bathroom was not working; the building is well maintained, but at the end of the day, it is an old building, and sometimes water heating needs maintenance. We discovered that it was not working a bit late, hence they were able to fix it the next day. Hence, I would suggest to anyone who checks in to check the heaters in the room (both the living room and the bathroom) and report it to reception if you feel they are not warm enough. Once reported, they act very quickly.
The rooms were a bit small (for families with kids) but it doesn't matter much as you spent most of your time traveling the city. The design and the feeling of the hotel and the rooms were splendid (due to a good selection of the wallpapers, even within the room, you don't hear much noise). The staff was accommodating and kind; they were friendly and made us feel welcome. Breakfast was decent, and they had good tea-time servings after 3 pm. One good thing about the hotel is (even though we didn't use it because we had limited time) they are part of a boutique hotel chain that has many other hotels around Paris. You have the right to stop by any of them during the day and benefit from the amenities offered to you in your hotel - such as attending tea time, etc... The surrounding area is nice; it is within 7-8 minutes walking distance of Arc de Triomphe. We visited during the winter and hence didn't use it, but the hotel has a lovely, cute garden, which might appeal to anyone who wants to relax and have tea.

Everything about this beautiful boutique hotel was very nice, hotel staff very nice and helpful, nice atmosphere, very good breakfast and nice drinks and food available at all times for free, it was really nice to enjoy a hot chocolate when you come in after a long walk in Paris cold whether! We went to Palma and returned back for one more night and it really felt like returning home ! I would definitely stay here everytime I visit lovely Paris !

The hotel is in a refurbished mansion in the 17th arr -- a great location close to attractions, surrounded by restaurants and cafes and public transportation but tucked away, too, so it's easy to get around Paris but relaxing and quiet back at the hotel. Breakfast was tasty and the mid-day baked goods were a super bonus -- we'd usually return to the hotel for a quick refresh and the wonderful selection of treats, teas and coffees were immensely appreciated and enjoyed! Our room was "spacious" by Paris standards (we got the Superior Double with Garden View) with a lovely view over the garden. And a special thanks to the hotel staff -- this was our first trip to Paris and our French is very limited and they were incredibly kind, patient and helpful throughout.

CanadaIt is not the most modern hotel, but we also got it for a fair price. If you want to be close to the action then this hotel is not for you, although the metro system is very good and you can get anywhere very easily.
The staff was kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and had blackout curtains. The bathrooms were clean and relatively modern. We were about a 8-9 minute walk to the subway/metro and about a 12-15 minute walk to the Arc de Triomphe. Travelling with kids, they had a family room which was convenient. Two separate rooms were accessed by one main door.
