There are two flights of stairs to the apartment, which didn’t bother us. Our host Sophie assisted us with our luggage on arrival.

Sofas and chair are very cool leather mid-century types but actually not massively comfortable; bit slippery and slouchy. Bigger standard sofa and couple of armchairs would be easier.

Very nicely furnished apartment in a great location; walking distance to so many good things. Tea and coffee provided; comfy beds with lovely linen, excellent bathroom and kitchen. Everything you need. Very secure entry.

We loved the location for driving in and out of Lyon, with parking at Opera very nearby and the view over the river. It was also very easy to walk to places in Lyon

The apartment was quite hot. Due to the age, there is no air-con, but there were plenty of fans. We stayed in May and it was OK with fans, but it would be VERY hot in summer. The couch was very low and would not be suitable for those a bit older or with difficulty getting up off the floor! There is an auto light in the hall which is annoying at night if you get up to the toilet.

We loved the location and the apartment was divine - it had everything you could need for your stay and was modernized beautifully. The view of the Rhône was fantastic!! The inside of the old building was incredible. The bed was very comfortable and the shower great!! The kitchen was very well appointed with all you need. The apartment is very spacious and beautifully decorated.

I would definitely recommend a stay here but I think it is worth to point out some small things for future guests: - I live in the countryside and I am not used to noise during the night. Due to the location, there is quite a bit of road noise (traffic), even during night hours and even despite the double glazed window. Heavy sleepers won't be bothered. If you have a light sleep bring earplugs. - The heating is set at 22 degrees and you can't change it. This, together with heavy duvets, made my sleep very difficult (even though we were there on very cold days). Bear in mind that you can't open the windows because of the noise. - I found very weird that the corridor light system was on detector, meaning that in the middle of the night there is no way to go to the bathroom without having all the spotlights in the corridor switching on - waking up everyone else if you sleep with the doors open like us.

Very good location, right on the river and a short walk from the city centre. Comfortable flat in very well kept building. 2 good size bedrooms, large and comfortable lounge area, well stocked kitchen and good size bathroom with separate toilet. Plenty of light in all bedrooms and common areas. Flat was very clean, very good quality linens and towels. Sophie was very welcoming and friendly.

There was nothing that we didn't like! As the property is at a busy street and there is a little tobacco store underneath the apartment it can be a little noisy, but it did not bother us too much.

The style of the property was just amazing, all rooms were very nicely decorated - the kitchen and the bathroom were new and had everything that was needed - the location was great, there were many nice shops and cafés around the corner - the hostess was super nice as well :-)
