How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I would have liked to have a fan in the room as there isn't air conditioning and it was quite warm. Restaurant options are few in close proximity so be prepared to walk 30 minutes or call a taxi.
I really appreciated the laundry facilities and the option to have breakfast. It is also a couple of blocks from some major Champagne houses.

Nothing - it’s suited us perfectly.
Not sure what to expect - a friend suggested trying staying there. Used it to break the journey up from Aime la Plagne to Calais/home. Usually do it in one jump. Friendly and helpful reception staff who helped me get my keys - I should have the welcome email better. Functional room, but secure parking for car with bikes, not far/long walk down to the old part of Reims, lovely hot showers and really comfortable beds. Woke up refreshed and ready to get home.

This basic accommodation for one night was spot on. Clean and presented well. Instructions were easy to follow, allowing access to a gated block. The breakfast which was very welcome and included, was fresh and all that you needed. Thank you everyone

The shower did not drain well so the bathroom flooded a bit every time it was used.
Great location in the champagne district. Comfortable bed, clean room. Very simple, but excellent value for money. Shutters on the window blocked out the sunlight for an excellent night's sleep.

There was rather cold (no heating possibility and central heating off) in late September. The bathroom was rather simple, the plastic curtain was giving it a cheap and less clean feeling. The bed was very narrow (140 cm) for two people.
Clean, close to the main champagne-makers. Dormitory-room style, decent. Simple French breakfast (baguette, croissant, pan-au-chocolate with butter, cheese, marmalate and Nespresso coffee). Safe parking underground.

There is no spare key if you lost yours. You r trapped outside. The number didn t worked. ;)
The room is clean, the staff is nice and helpful. The breakfast is good. It s not expensive.

When I arrived there was a locked gate to go through, for which you needed the passcode. If there was an intercom to reception, it didn't work and I had to wait about 5 minutes for another guest to go through the gate before I could gain access to the hotel to get my room key and passcode
If you just want a bed for the night and no frills this was absolutely fine. It was clean and comfortable with an adequate breakfast all at a reasonable price.
