Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaWe stayed on a Sunday night, there was no restaurant at the hotel which did not match with the lift promotional information that said while Celest was closed a bistro was open on Sunday's, this was not the correct. It was a bit tricky to get to from the station would be great to share that can just walk through the Westfield centre.
The room was comfortable with a fabulous view. Staff friendly and keen to share great places to see in Lyon very proud of their city. Plenty of little extras like water, biscuits and printing available.

LuxembourgAbsolutely disappointed by the Bar/restaurant management on duty . Useless service , had to wait about twenty minutes to get a first beer served. No coordination at all, the waitresses were very nice , but not able to get the service running. Even so they were 5 o service, which is fare enough. Some other guests mentioned that the issue is only in the evening when they serve as well dinner.

United Arab EmiratesRooms a are a bit small, no place for the luggage. The reception being located in the center of the hotel with an open space -like a chimney-leading to all the rooms in the hotel, it becomes very noisy in the morning so then you understand the next day why there's a door for the bedroom : to close it and avoid waking up early
The hotel has an amazing panoramic view of Lyon, and conveniently located just next to the Westfield shopping Mall and train station. Area full of nice gastronomic restaurants with a wide range of cuisines

SwitzerlandWe were staying during rugby match period and we were not aware of it before we arrived. Due to that the price for the night was double the normal price which was the only downside.
Good facilities and good location. The room was spacious and the view was nice.

United KingdomThe restaurant was peculiar with a very limited menu which was maybe due to the fact that I arrived after 9pm. The young waiters were inexperienced but friendly enough. There was simply a choice of pizza (very underwhelming) or salad. I ordered a bottle of viognier (glasses of wine were very pricey) which the young waiter struggled to uncork. When I stated that it was well past its best (not helped by being served at room temperature), he said he would take the bottle back but, as I had tasted the wine in a glass, he would have to charge for that. Somewhat staggered, I moved on to a glass of Cote de Rhone which was fine and ended up with a bill including one sad pizza pizza and two expensive glasses of wine (only one of which I drank). I mentioned the wine tasting story to the receptionist at check out and they agreed that the wine tasting protocol was odd but did not think of deducting the glass - I found this so amusing that I decided to pay up and instead add this to my repertoire of fun stories.
This hotel is on the upper floors of a skyscraper near Lyon Part Dieu station. You go straight to the 32nd floor to find reception in a 10 storey lobby. Very interesting circular layout. My room had a great view of Lyon which was good as it was far too hot to walk around. The hotel is an easy walk from the station through a Westfield shopping centre which means it is nicely air conditioned. The receptionist was charming and spoke excellent English (helped by the fact that, although he was French, his father came originally from Birmingham....).

United KingdomIt was a nightmare to find! There are roadworks outside the hotel and the directions and signage was inadequate. We drove around for a good half an hour before we stumbled across the car park, not great after a long drive!
We loved the design of the building and the views from our 36th floor room. We were checked in by a really lovely chap.

TurkeyThe breakfast was good, but the on demand (not pre-paid) price of Euro 25 per person is a bit expensive. And there may be more variety of cheese.
It is near Lyon main train station Part Dieu and a shopping mall. Trams, trains, metro are nearby. Lowest floor is 32nd. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Room and bathroom, both are functional. There is a large Carrefour market nearby.

TurkeyThere could be an inside swimming pool on one of the floors.
The Hotel building has 39 normal floors and there comes about 30 meters more of the tower section. We stayed at the 39th floor and the view was perfect seeing all the city in our room side.

United Arab EmiratesAbsolute rudeness from the reception staff when I was checking out. Without looking at me he said just drop your key and we will email you. When I asked where to drop it he said “anywhere”. This is the first time I have experienced such rudeness.
