Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumIt’s an old building, so when people talk are even walk on the stairs you can hear it in your bedroom and it can wake you up.
Fun vintage bedrooms with modern bathroom. We had a free upgrade to a larger room. Breakfast was very good en the coffee was amazing!

FranceAs the hotel is close to the city centre, it’s a bit noisy in summer. Also, on Thursdays they have pianobar nights so till approximately midnight the noise from the street disturbs a bit the rooms at the first floors. Good breakfast

LithuaniaThe AC is crazy loud so it is impossible to sleep while it is working. If you turn it off and open the window - you hear the noises of the street. Also, the kitchen equipment was not very clean.
The location and size of the apartment is really great, the bed was comfortable and clean. Also the stuff was very nice and helped us with the storage of our bags after the check out. The early check in was very great too.

New ZealandCool apartment over a hotel, overlooking the square. You could sit on the balcony and watch the busyness without the noise. Well located and parking was at a paid, secure parking building. A little challenging to find but once there car was secure and price was very reasonable for 3 days. Easy walk to all the main attractions of Antibes and right in the heart of old Antibes.

United KingdomThey had renovations going on and did not inform any of guests. You couldn't relax with all the drilling. Not even if you sat in the square outside. Toiletries consist of a tiny bottle of shampoo and a small bar of hand soap. I would of expected a little more. The coffee at breakfast is out of a machine and very weak, so it's like drinking murky water. The walls are paper thin, so you can hear people in the hallway. You can also hear the lift every time it is summoned and worst of all, whoever is in the room next to you. I am not prude but I shouldn't have to listen to it! When the drilling has stopped unless you are at the front of the hotel, there is a school at the back, so you can hear the children playing. If you are looking to rest and have a sleep in, this is NOT the place to stay.
The location is great and the room was clean.

United KingdomRooms have no sound proofing at all so noise from voices & TVs (attached to dividing wall) means you could be in your neighbours room. Rooms are around the lift so you hear the noise from that as well as everyone coming in late in the evening. For a 3 star hotel the towels are threadbare. Internet constantly drops out. The room I was in & rhe bathroom are very small, There was barely space to put a suitcase.
Staff & breakfast really nice just unfortunate about the noise issues - I could even forgive the size of the room if not for the noise.

AustraliaThe apartment was very noisy and we had a very nasty neighbour. Also because it was an old building, plaster was continually falling off the ceiling leaving piles of paint and plaster throughout the apartment.
We were in an apartment attached to the hotel. Great position and staff very helpful and nice.

I thought I was in a hotel however it was in the building next door . The main door was always left open which is a security risk, light in stairwell not working and no phone to reception. The property was very run down except the bathroom. It was very basic and did not reflect the picture I was sent. Very expensive for what it was. Breakfast was quite good.

France- The room is 3 times smaller than at the picture. Same for the restroom (especially sink). If smth is happening downstairs - you will easily recognise it because of the loud sound in your room. Also, the floor in the end of March was super cold and there were no bafies. I think it could be better for the price.

BulgariaWhen we got at 22:05 at the reception of the hotel after a recommendation from booking following a cancellation by another place we were surprised by the info provided by a hotel representative substituting for the receptionist that if we try and book online the system won't work. After an hour of phone calls and exceptional efforts made on site the booking agent told us to do the reservation in spite of what we're being told and it actually worked out to the surprise of the hotel representative. Everything afterwards was perfect. We totally recommend this hotel in the heart of Antibes!
The whole experience, the breakfast, the excellent apartment that i got the third night.
