Was asked to pay the tourist taxon arrival; even though Booking.com states that all taxes and charges are included. The manager backed down when this was pointed out. Both Booking and hotels need to clarify these things better as it was not a good start. The place had only just reopened after the winter; the outside lighting, coffee machine and bathroom heater were not working, but no doubt will be fixed shortly. The decor is somewhat dated especially the floral carpets everywhere.

This old character property is in a quiet and pretty location next to the river with a nice walk alongside. Plenty of private parking. A good stopover place if travelling through France. The room was spacious.

Dpending on the room the toilets are not at the same level as the rest of the facilities, although still acceptable.

Fantastic decoration. Big rooms. Some rooms have the toilet also renovated, but some other still have the toilet decent but old fashion. Overall very clean and frindly staff. Beds very comfortable

The room smells due to humidity ( probably not used or opened a lot - building from 17th century is certainly an excuse ) - insects like spiders forced us to leave before breakfast ( sorry, my Wife does not like it in accommodations )…. However all to be accepted considering building, countryside etc …. Bathroom would need some renovation ….

the Staff ( every interaction with them was great, a young team very helpful and very friendly at the reception and in the restaurant), the location is absolutely splendid. The building is beautiful, old stone lovers you will be delighted The food was good at the restaurant , regarding the breakfast it is inline with the cost, those who complains are either people who never traveled in their life or dont understand the concept of value for money, it was fair for the price.

The staff were very sweet, they were ok with us arriving early and nothing seemed a problem. The hotel is beautiful and has a fantastic pool, sun loungers etc. Breakfast was included and hosted an exquisite array of continental food, the concierge Albo was incredibly helpful and helped us find a restaurant considering a few were closed. The room was clean and had French style, the beds were incredibly comfy. Overall a WONDERFUL stay!

It was horrific. We had booked the most beautiful room in the hotel, and were given a dark dirty den. The owner said it is normal that the photos of the room do not correspond to reality. That was certainly the case with him, but that is not normal on Booking. There the rooms do correspond to reality. I've already booked hundreds of rooms so I know what I'm talking about. Furthermore, the owner was rude, and also treated his staff very badly. The hotel stinks, is extremely dirty, and old. The toilet seat wasn't even stuck, and everything around the toilet was yellow. Too dirty. We first opened the outer door with a chair, to get the dirty air out. After 5 minutes it stank again. No chance. Unfortunately we couldn't go to another hotel. The breakfast was good, if you like one scoop of bread without butter with only jam. The website also states that the restaurant is open on Sundays. that's not true either. There is nothing else in the area. The nearest restaurant is a 25-minute drive away. Good luck to whoever goes to this hotel. One thing you know for sure, you will extra appreciate the next hotel you are going to .
