Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLong way from our suite to the reception/waterpark. Lots of mosquitos. No decent restaurant on site. No sun in garden. We think as a perk we should have had a secret gate from the garden onto the waterpark, save all that walking. Show great at night but didn’t understand as only the ‘welcome to the show ‘ was in English. Treasure hunt wasn’t in English so we couldn’t participate. VIP guests paying £450 a night should have had a free escape room experience. Food at lunchtime was dreadful and the cafe closed at 2:30pm Taxi from Hotel was €40 euros but private ‘bolt/Uber only €18 Wi-Fi went down often, and went down for 6 hours whilst we were there. Insult pricing for the minibar €10 euros for a mini vodka and €5 for a 250ml coke?
Spacious suite Great themed rooms Coffee machine good (but really 1 capsule !?) Air conditioning in each room Free waterpark access each day Good mojitos at the bar. Darkened rooms Good linens and bed mattresses. Good free shuttle to beach. Pirate show in evening but great (better than daytime)

LuxembourgThe hotel should limit the number of visitors from outside, on sunny days the pools were too crowded. Just like during our previous stay, the wave pool did not function and some days and there was no message, no communication. No need for a sign with times of waves as these are not respected anyway.
Great pools, decorations and facilities (like the barbecue and equipped kitchen). The free taxi service to the beach and friendly staff. It was great to be allowed to use the pools for the rest of the day after checking out but it was sad to see the poor condition of the changing rooms (damaged, dirty) and the fact that at least one third of the lockers were broken and nobody cares about that.

United KingdomNo light switch by sofa bed and little lighting in living room. Noise from communal landing. Food really basic (fast food options only except breakfast). The water park gets very crowded but still lots of room to enjoy the wave pool, multiple slides, deep lagoon and magic river. It’s very creative and great fun.
Fabulous water park and quiet comfy room. Lovely welcome from friendly staff and they parked our car and put our bags away while we enjoyed the water park. There’s a golf buggy service to go out for dinner at the beach and they collect you afterwards. The rooms have good aircon, a nice terrace or garden, and a very nice shower. All have fully fitted kitchens if you plan a longer stay (but no washing machine).

SwitzerlandWe paid for the Vip+ for the extra services but were pretty dissatisfied with the fact that there was no one to let the non VIP people know that they should leave the park, so instead of enjoying the park from 19-20 we ended up queuing with other people that did not pay for this. On one instance for example we were told the park is closed at 19:30 even though we had another 30 minutes left and were told by the lifeguards that we should talk to front desk, but the front desk had no idea about this. A total lack of communication can be seen throughout the whole park.
Great design and amazing decorations. You really feel part of the pirate “story”.

United KingdomThey gave us vip+ wrist passes so we went in the vip+ area. After setting up all of our stuff, staff came over (very politely) and asked us if we could move to the normal vip area; they'd run out of vip bands so thats why they gave us the plus ones. It was in the afternoon and there were plenty of beds left, so you would have thought they would have just let us stay as it wasn't really our fault and with the amount of stuff we had to move. Breakfast wasn't great; Limited options. However the children were free, so not too bad. No lift to our room on the upper floor.
Staff on arrival were very friendly and helpful. They showed us around the whole hotel and waterpark. Carried our bags to holding area and then placed them in our room for us. Staff at restaurant very friendly too. Food (including kids options) at the restaurant in the evening was very nice. Bed was very comfy and kids' bed was large for a sofa bed. Great air conditioning. Balcony was a great size and had a day bed, table and chairs and BBQ area.

SwitzerlandAs already mentioned in other reviews, too many people at the swimming pool. All campers nearby are allowed to attend, as well. The hotel tries their best in providing the zones with sunbeds/sun umbrellas, where only hotel guests (depending on the room of stay) have access to, but all other people always are there. The hotel security tries to check regularly and free up the place for hotel guests. Still space if overcrowded and access is limited. The beach is quite away. 20 min walk. The hotel provides the free shuttle. However, we had an issue to be picked up at the beach. We called the hotel, but nobody picked us up. Not a problem to walk, but when the weather is very hot, for little kids, not helpful. The rooms are designed in pirate style, but look quite old. It did not leave us an impression of 4* hotel at all, unfortunately.
The facilities/interior is really nice, in pirate style. Kids loved it. The swimming pool/aquapark is good.

NetherlandsThe so-called VIP service was basically non-existent. The guy who was supposed to serve the VIP zone did not appear there once in 5 days, he only served the VIP+ zone. The only point of the VIP zone is a free locker. In the day of check out they allow to use the facilities but do not give you a simple locker for your staff, you have to pay 1 euro each time you open the locker to get your wallet or anything. The restaurant is fine but for the Michelin prices you expect Michelin quality, right? Extra charge of 100 euro for cleaning the kitchen in the room is kind of weird for the 4 star hotel.
The decorations are super nice, great attraction for kids. The stuff at the reception is very friendly. They helped us to book some external activities as we don’t speak French, and gave us good advice when we had an emergency and had to go to the hospital with our kid.
