Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandWent to the restaurant, but it was closed.
The room was a good size, shower was large, kitchen good. Everything was clean & a box of detergent, cleaning fluids, cloths & plastic bags were provided, a nice touch. It had everything we needed. Very good parking. A little outside the town in the countryside in a lovely rural setting. It was close to a supermarket.

EstoniaSpeed bumps to get to the parking lot were really big. Wi-Fi sometimes didn't work.
Seemed to be good place for families and activity possibilities during the season. As the weather wasn't good and it was offseason, we couldn't do them.

United KingdomNoise (music) from entertainment in the complex on the first night. Our daughter's bed wasn't in a separate room but in a little alcove next to the entrance door and opposite the bathroom.
Very good location just outside Arles and with easy access to lots of places to visit. Nice to have a room that was like a mini holiday home with its own terrace and shared pool just a few steps away.

New ZealandReception was closed early and room was not made up - very tricky to get help and we ended up wasting time. Topped by party next door which did not finish until 5 am. But the location is lovely and the pool was beautiful - although we ended up too late to enjoy it.

Italyvery nice village 10 minutes outside the centre of Arles. We only stayed for one night so did not really have the time to try the facilities, the room was good in term of size and had a nice little terrace to enjoy the quiet and green environment. I think the place would be perfect for families since there is a lot to do (swimming pool, horse riding, walks, tennis courts) and some amazing attractions just some kilometers away

United KingdomI feel it was very good. We were given only a set of towels by mistake but really that was not a drama at all.
We really enjoyed the location, just a 10 minute drive from Arles. Very good value for money compared to the prices of Arles city centre. Very nice village with swimming pools and restaurants. Not all the activities were accessible, such as mini golf. The room had a kitchenette, a balcony and air-con. I would highly recommend it for people exploring the area looking for good value for money and wanting to access a swimming pool to refresh at the end of the day.

FinlandPrice to quality ratio is great. Rooms are very good (first had comfort room, then suite), nice pool, quite location, pretty good restaurant in the hotel. Ok breakfast. Nothing really to complain, 5-10 years ago this has probably been close to 5 stars.

SwitzerlandThe room wasnt the one we made the reservation for which was a big deal for us and nothing could be done. The pool open late and close early so we couldnt use it. The kitchenette has no cleaning tools or products (it was not said on the property description) so not easy to use! Room is not that big because the bathroom is huge so the size is the description is not that accurate if we consider the bed part.
The staff was friendly. The complex is nice with nature around. Free parking.

CyprusThere is a small kitchenette in the apartment, but nothing at all for cleaning, washing etc, had to buy everything like tablets for a dishwasher and we used just 4-5 pieces from the box. No cleaning in the apartment but very strict rules for guests to clean it, again - nothing for that. And so many mosquitoes that we couldn't open a window, and,.. no fumigators provided.
Very big territory like in a forest. Big pools, good buffet restaurant (for additional price). Location can be either an advantage or a disadvantage depending on what you want. Without a car I don't know what to do there, because there's nowhere to go near. If you have a car it's about 7-10 minutes drive to Arles, and the place is really peaceful and quiet.

GermanyClear description where the reception is would be advantagous, since there are multiple hotels ftom the same company with similar names. The description said when we should arrive however we had to call someone to get the key out of the safe because the reception was already closed on sunday.. That could have been told us beforehand (also the safes combination)
Privacy on the terasse provided through bushes

United KingdomTo be fair, what we bought was an apartment and that is what we got. We did not avail ourselves of the many facilities that the holiday park offered and it is not something we would do, so we felt a bit out of place. But for a French family, I am sure that it is most suitable for an outdoor adventure without too much difficulty. We could not help but compare it to 'Hi-De-Hi' (a British TV satire with bossy staff running scheduled exercises).
We booked an apartment in Arles, a new visit and on reflection, our choice turned out to be a little unexpected in many ways. It is very out of the way, and Google maps misdirected us to the wrong location it seems but we managed to find it. It is a family holiday park with apartments and facilities that you can pay for, we of course were tired and just wanted a quiet stay on the hottest afternoon we had experienced on our travels. I explored the extensive foresty grounds - a lovely environment with good parking spaces and many modern buildings with little apartments. There are three 'hotels' on the grounds and a different one ran a restaurant which was 15 minutes walk away, I did not realise you could easily drive there, but the facilities were not very inviting to me, more like a holiday park with utilitarian facilities like tennis courts, a sauna and swimming pool, a laundrette, miles of driveways and walks, trees and carparks and clumps of residential apartments. As a family holiday park it serves well, but you pay extra to use the facilities that are not part of the hotel company you are staying with. Not my cup of tea, but the apartment was comfortable if plain, the TV played CNN which was nice.
