Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AlbaniaFurniture a bit outdated. Narrow place for cooking. To go to the reception or other parts of the building, need to get first outside in the hallway.
Proximity from the gondola lift. View from the window.

United KingdomLifts being out of action. The lift pass is extremely expensive and has gone up considerably over the past 10 years - and way out of line with inflation. For that sort of money I would expect lifts to be open - the grand Mott chair lift in Tigne was out of action three weeks ago and while it was working at the end of last week it wasn't at the beginning.
I've been to Val d'sere many times. The resort is good for experienced skiers and the height means that you're pretty sure of getting some decent snow.

LithuaniaIt was a tiny apartment, but worked out well for two of us. It has a tiny kitchenette and all the basic equipment. There are ski lockers for every apartment too. Very friendly and helpful staff. Ski lifts are 3 minute walk away and we could see the slopes right from our balcony.

Overall good. Accross from La Daille ski lifts and a short (5 minute) bus journey to Val D’isere. Bus runs regularly every 5-10 minutes during the day and 10-15 at night. Hotel has all of the basics for a comfortable stay with all of the requirement amenities close by.

FranceWe had a 10 day booking and 2 small soaps and 1 non-full roll of toilet paper, so all insufficient for the stay. The booking.com advertisement said there was free wifi (it wasn't even strong enough to do an internet speed test at the beginning of December when not at capacity), so that's untrue. They were unable to advise how fast the paid wifi was, but since we had no other option, we purchased it. It was only c.18Mbps download (c.20% of the speed of my roaming), but I had issues when joining video calls and had to use my own data. It was meant to be good for 5 devices, but we had issues getting on more than 2, so just be aware if you need to use the internet for calls etc. There was also a reception advertised and the ability to store luggage, but the reception is closed between midday and 4pm and is meant to be locked then. It says to let them know if you will arrive outside of those hours, but then they tell you there is no reception between those hours, so we were just lucky no-one else was storing their luggage and it was left open for is but there isn't really luggage storage or reception in those 4 hours in the middle of the day.
The location was excellent, right across the road from the bubble and funicular. The apartment itself had good cooking facilities and the view of the mountain was great, you could even see the finish line of the women's downhill and Super G events. Equipment rental was also conveniently located onsite.

Very spacious room. Bedroom with 3 single beds (1 pullout bunk). Sofa bed comfortable. Plenty of room to spread out ski equipment. Location- Next to ski rental. Next to bus stop into Val d’isere and the stop for Bens bus (airport transfer). Opposite the telecabin lift. Spar over the road (extremely expensive). Friendly staff in reception. Superb views.

IsraelSki lockers are smelling disgasting, no heating or ventilation, wet and cold. You can't leave there anything except the skis and poles, even not a boots or a helmet. Apartment is not soundproof at all. You hear everybody who is walking on your floor or above. No direct access from underground parking to the hotel. You have to take all your bags one floor up without elevator.
The apartment was very (no... VERY) warm and comfortable. Close to all you need during the ski vacation: bakery, grocery, ski renting shop, ski lifts, ski pass office. Beautiful views from the window and around the hotel. Cleaning welcome kit was very useful. Even soap and shower gel we got.

United KingdomDirty sheets were left at the door of the room for a few days. We let reception know but they didn't do anything about it. No boot warmers in the property. We had to do own own beds and were only given 1 toilet roll. We understand the property is catering for a budget but this is below average. Very small single beds - no option to put together to make a double. Only one type of pillow available..
Good value for money. Clean. Fully stocked kitchen. Really comfy and practical sofa bed - easy to put away.
