How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The couch had a PU leather or similar fabric with a rubbery feel - not the most comfortable to sit/lay on.
The hotel location was fine, just a short walk (10-15 mins) to the historical city center, very close to the "Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie et du Vin" The studio was very clean and tidy with a well-equipped kitchen area. Pet-friendly, convenient spacious parking. Smooth check-in and helpful staff.

Couldn’t get in the car park as we had a roof box on our car. But there is a really big car park around the corner that was very secure. Only €11 for 24hours was no problem.
Great location. Like brand new, lovely clean rooms with a kitchen and eating area. Very comfortable. Location was fantastic for the city. Staff on reception were very friendly and helpful.

The residhome is new so the deco is lovely and modern. The rooms had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We had a family suite - two televisions, equipped kitchen area, bathroom with hairdryer. The beds were comfy, even the sofa bed and the bedding was great. We also appreciated the parking (10 euros and we were allowed to stay in it until 6pm even though we checked out at noon). Near to a park, places to eat, and ten minutes' walk from the centre so very convenient location and great to just leave the car in a safe place and go everywhere by foot.

The property lived up to our expectations - clean, well furnished and spacious. The room had a kitchen counter with amenities, table with chairs and well equipped bathroom (with bathtub).

Secure parking, nice staff and great location. On one side, you can walk next to the river to the lake. On the other side, you can walk to many nice restaurants and the city center.

The cleanliness must be improved! At first glance everything seems clean but attention to detail is missing. Plenty of dust on the skirting boards Spots on the walls, some dirty dishes and bed protector put the way I had to redo the bed. Also the lift doors were dirty…
Grate location, 10 min walk from the old town. In front of the park. Comfortable bed, room cosy and warm.

Breakfast too expensive for a family, however lots of smaller shops to discover or enjoy breakfast in comfort of your own apartment.
Location is 15mins walk to centre Dijon, 2 mins by tram outside hotel. Hotel has generous apartment room size and balcony, practical small kitchen. Small fitness equipment but practical. Right next door to Gastromomie Food Exhibition and shops (Burgundy food and wine region). Excellent stay for family.

Only minor points, there was no kitchen towel or kitchen cleaning pack supplied to aid leaving the kitchen area clean. Missing bottle opener.
Had secure on site underground car park, at a small extra charge. It was clean and tidy small apartment.

The Presuure of the shower could be a little bit stronger, but it was adequate

The studio was smallish for 4 people, but otherwise everything was really nice, we would return.
The location is good, with restaurants nearby. We liked the underground parking as well. We also liked the style of the hotel.

Great place for a longer stay. Large rooms with fridge, kettle etc. Better than a usual 3 star hotel that you find in France. Clean, practical, lodern, functional, pefect..there is even a small gym (which I didn't use). Have booked again.....Could be practical if you are travelling by car as there is parking. Short walk from train station. Short walk (10-15 mins) to historical city center. PS Note that you are obliged to clean kitchen unit or you will be charged plus extra charge for housekeeping, if required.
