Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CroatiaWe once stayed at their "Deluxe" rooms, which were renovated, and we believed that all the rooms were also renovated (the difference would only be in the size of the rooms), but this is not so. Business rooms are very outdated, they require renovation asap and it is not clear how can a hotel maintain their 4* rating with those kind of rooms and hallways. Doors of the room are very bad, the slam each time very loud, the carpet is old, the chairs on the balcony are damaged so bad that you must watch out how to sit in them to avoid cutting your legs on the plastic. Last year the hotel offered breakfast included in the price of the room, but now the breakfast is at extra cost at 26€ per person per day which is ridiculous. It is cheaper to go get breakfast at local Starbucks nearby or at any restaurant in Monte Carlo. We wish the hotel returns their policy about breakfast, renovates all the rooms and brings the hotel up to 4* standard, which you make this hotel best value for money option in Monaco.
The location of the hotel is great (by our standards), it is very quite at night, the staff is very friendly and professional and speaks foreign languages fluently.

NetherlandsThe restaurant offers a nice breakfast and also lunch and dinner but the selection is very limited. Breakfast I would expect more egg selections, salads and cakes. Lunch is offered until until 14 and between 14-16 and is almost nothing to eat. The menu is very limited, and there are not too many options for gluten-free. We took a family room, 2 full bed, and one sofa, but the full bed is actually a single person bed. This was confusing and very hard for us to manage...so we are actually couldn't sleep well at all. Important to mention clearly that full bed means for one person. In the picture, it looks like a double bed, but it's not! Cleaning - can be better , halls near the elevator have a dusty smell... inside the rooms the daily cleaning can be improved. The value for money could be improved if we knew the room was not for us. We paid 500 euro per night without breakfast for a room that didn't fit us. Besides that, the hotel was great.
The location is right on the marina, a very nice way to start the day, walking with the dogs every morning. It's a pet friendly hotel. 2 nice private beaches is 5 min by walk. Bed renting 70 euro per day. There is also a free beach between them and I saw also a Handicap beach there. Coffee at the restaurant was one of the best we had. Romain was the best person to offer help in the restaurant, so sweet and kind! Reception team also very kind- Kiril ans Beatrice are very nice people.

United KingdomThe room upgrade was to the 10th floor and was at the end of that floor meaning it was directly adjoining the next door apartment block and gave a full view from the balcony into various apartments, some of which had the washing out! Not what we expected from such a prime location. The room above had a party going on to the early hours. The hotel. particularly the bar, seemed very understaffed making bar service slow and the outside area was not as clean as it might have been.
We were upgraded to a suite and the room itself was enormous and very comfortable. Free shuttle service up to the Casino Square. Good parking at very reasonable cost.

United KingdomEating at the hotel is expensive. Breakfast is €20, a room service burger is €23 with a €7 delivery charge. A pepsi max and a coffee came to €8. The 'business area' is a shared desk in the lobby. By and large the public areas are smaller than in more modern hotels.
The hotel is in France; the border to Monaco in the street outside. As it is in France, you can order an uber which is easier than trying to get a Monaco taxi (Uber is not allowed in Monaco). If you get a marina view, sitting on your balcony looking south over the marina and sea is very pleasant.

Croatiathe hallways are really outdated, and you think that you entered another hotel when you leave the elevator. the room was very spacious with a lot of space for stuff, but the room should get an update, or at least the bathroom needs some renovation. For a 4* star hotel at Monaco, you would expect more.
the location is great, the lobby is great, the room is ok (little bit outdated), but very spacious. the breakfast was also great and up till 11 am which is perfect for all people that like to sleep in.
