Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. "Beyond expectations" is not a generous enough way to explain how impeccable our stay was at this property. We booked the studio which was generously sized as was the private patio. Comfort and design details were to be experienced and seen everywhere, such as, for example, providing two choices of coffee machines (and a kettle too), a beach bag to tote the provided beach towels and umbrellas, the list of solid recommendations for every thing to see and do in the area, the plush towels and the oh-so-comfortable bed. I could go on. Immaculately clean too, bien sûr.

SpainEverything was perfect, but if I could ask for a change it would be to extend the lovely swimming pool working hours. Not important though.
Amazing place to stay, all looks brand new and there is literally everything you need- all sorts of home appliances, nice and comfy furniture, a lovely terrace...Mr Pasquali is a very attentive and thoughtful host. He has arranged everything to ensure a perfect stay and provides valuable recommendations. We will definitely be back!

United StatesSenteurs du Maquis far exceeded expectations. Ange greeted us at Senteurs du Maquis after a long day of travel, and it was the perfect start to our two week trip in Corsica. As a gift, our family had asked Ange if he could arrange something on our arrival—he greeted us with the most beautiful and delicious spread of Coriscan wine, cheese, and charcuterie, all thoughtfully selected from local producers. Ange clearly puts care into every part of Senteurs du Maquis—the apartment was impeccably designed, clean, and comfortable. The large glass doors open to a view of the ocean in the distance. We only stayed for one night, but we’d love to come back for a longer stay and have a chance to enjoy the pool, beach, and more of Ange’s local recommendations.

This accommodation is great. A self-contained studio with an outdoor terrace which was clean, private, comfortable, and had all appliances that you would need for a short stay. The host was also very welcoming and gave us some great tips for local restaurants. Would recommend, would return.

FranceAnge the owner doesn't have the name for nothing. He really is an angel. He provided us with many very helpful tips. His favourite restaurants, beaches, tours. We did a lot of things and were totally thrilled. It is 3 minutes by car from the apt to a beautful beach. We went every morning for a quick dip before breakfast. The apt is very quiet and really nicely furnished. It is rare to find something so tasteful in Corsica. The mattresses are very good and you sleep like a baby. We are already planning to come back next spring. A big thank you for everything Ange.
