Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWifi is advertised but, in effect, is not really available unless you stand outside in the car park, which is not very convenient. The heating system is loud at night but we managed to turn it off with a switch behind the wardrobe. Bit inconvenient having to bring your own sheets (I’d advise bringing a pillow case too) but this is all advertised in advance so is not a surprise on arrival.
Apt 4 is a small, no-frills, functional studio in an ideal location for starting your ski day on the Frejus lift. You won’t find better value for money given the perfect location - it’s also just across the street from the supermarket, boulangerie, pharmacy and equipment hire shops. The old town is just under the bridge, along the river with a few sweet restaurants and bars. Good for a couple or friends who know each other very well, I travelled with my mum and we used the sofa bed and pull-out bed from underneath the sofa; neither of us fancied the additional ‘bunk’ with ladder perched on the wall! The studio also comes with a ski locker on the ground floor, useful and necessary for storing all your kit. Whilst the facilities are basic, there is plenty of clothes storage for two and there was always enough hot water.

United KingdomNeeds a shower head wall bracket.
This was a typical tiny and slightly out dated flat, north facing. But it was warm clean, quiet with plenty of hot water and the view was actually very good with mountains and people watching all in one. The ski locker, car parking and fast lifts were great. The owner presented himself personally and was very friendly. Be prepared for how small these apartments are and be patient with the amount of paperwork and information presented and you will enjoy a very reasonably priced accommodation.

United KingdomWhen people smoked in other apartments, it could be smelt in the corridors.
Superb location, near to the Frejus bubble lift and resort amenities. Lovely attentive host who made us feel very welcome.

United KingdomThis refers to apartment C4 Apartment is really only suitable for one person or a couple. No apartment number on the door so need to check all the doors to work out which door it is when you arrive. Internet didn't t work - password doesn't work. Owner didn't answer phone or email to help on first evening. On second day owner arranged to come and review internet connection at 17:00 but hadn't turned up by 18:47 and didn't answer his phone Signed up for community internet https://villeneuve.internet-ici.net/ but is 3.5MBit/s and drops out. Electric socket next to bed doesn't work - loose so doesn't connect First night loud music still going 0130 from bar opposite Shower holding doesn't sit on the shower hold so have to hold in hand so difficult to hold shampoo bottle All noise from people talking in corridor comes into the room - there is no insulation around the door to stop noise or fire Mattress on sofa bed - very poor support - wrecks backs!! Room heating is by air and is very noisy especially at night! It gets very dry and stuffy so you wake up choking - there is no radiator to dry anything on so difficult to wash socks etc Third night 0150 screaming from bar opposite Switches on 2 ring hob are faulty with no on light but it works eventually There is no interconnected fire alarm system, no fire blanket, no fire extinguisher in the apartment and only 1 fire extinguisher on the stairway on the second floor. There is no means of escape from 4th floor if there is a fire!! There is a smoke detector under a shelf in the main room but not near the cooker HOWEVER the battery inside the detector was still in its PLASTIC COVER so useless in the event of a fire. Every afternoon after skiing there was vibration from apartment on left for a couple of hours.
Great location, just 150m from 2 main lifts. View was beautiful.

United KingdomThis refers to apartment C5. There are no numbers on the doors so you have to guess which door it is on the corridor. Space is small, suitable for 1 person, a couple or 2 very close friends. Decor and furnishings are 'tired' but you get what you pay for. Some easy things to fix would be the broken shower hook; electrics - only one socket worked; hot plates didn't work so not able to cook or boil water for hot drink (no kettle provided); and WiFi didn't work, although the owner did try to get a technician to fix it but he wasn't available for a week! Generally, it would benefit from a thorough clean and bedding being washed after each rental, especially considering Covid.
Great location, just 150m from 2 main lifts. A few niggles but, all in all, a great little studio for the price.

United KingdomWe've stayed with Jean-Christophe 3 times now and will certainly keep booking with him in the future. Next to the best lift in Villeneuve to get up on the mountain with the addition of a great ski locker!

SwitzerlandThe place is small but does have a lot of potential. However, it feels like the host is happy with just offering an average place to stay. It is furnished with old things that feel like they are leftovers that no longer want to be used in their own home, for example old bedding, a rusty peeler, or old aluminum pots and scratched and warped Teflon pans. I would recommend you bring your own essential things to cook. Electric plugs need an update and are in awkward positions (e.g. behind the cupboard). The shower head was broken and no attempt was made to fix it. When I told the host he told me he was already aware the shower was broken. Difficult to wash hair and face... No wifi throughout our stay! Falsely advertised as having wifi. The router is not in your room and comes in from the outside...From the other reviews it seems this is an ongoing problem and no attempt has been made to improve it. We had to use other means to get wifi - paying for roaming ($$) and using the SerreCheici network (10euro for a week with so-so connection). Very frustrating when you are staying abroad over the holidays and want to give family and friends a call.
Perfect location to be on the piste in 5 minutes, close to shops (groceries, bar, restaurant, pharmacy, rental) and nordic ski area is close by for different activities (walking dogs, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, dog sledding.) Easy key pick up with instructions received via email in advance. Host responded to emails in a timely manner and was very pleasant. Room is small but has lots of storage in the room and with ski lockers on the ground floor. Lots of parking on site or in the public lot next to it. Walking distance to everything you need. Pet friendly (the apartment and the whole complex). Overall, we picked it because of the excellent location and pet friendliness. We would stay again if the wifi situation was fixed, and we brought our own essential cooking items.
