I was planning a trip as a gift for my wife. She wanted to visit Lyon, but the prices for hotels in the city were extremely high and I was like "If you are going to pay so much, better to add slightly more to get a much better experience". Long story short - my wife was surprised: "This is one of the best places we stayed" - she told me as soon as we entered the house. Truly, it was a pleasure to stay here. There is no disruption noise because it is at a distance from the road. It is also calm inside. The bed was clean, the toilet was clean, and everything was clean. We were also surprised with a really big living room where you can chill outside of your room. The owner is friendly, she helped us with planning our day trip to Lyon also. If you prefer to eat a lot for breakfast as was me, do not forget to buy some additional food in a supermarket during your road to the place (I recommend French yoghurts and cheese with a baguette). But the breakfast that is included in the booking is quite good to wake up, get some energy and go to the city. I also would like to mention that the check-in experience was one of the best because the owner recommended a few places for dinner even before we arrived at the property. The how-to-find instructions were also totally clear (because the property is located outside of the main road so the instructions are required to find it). She was a welcoming host. The place is close by car to a few small villages, it is also close to Lyon. To park in Lyon we used a parking at Gorge de Loup station that was free because we bought a subway ticket. It is a great value for price. I paid slightly more than I would pay in Lyon, but I got at least two times better experience than I would expect from the same price in Lyon. An amazing location, an amazing house and an amazing owner. It was one of the moments where my expectations were exceeded.

That we couldn't stay longer :( We only booked one night and I really wished we had stayed longer.

The pictures did not do this justice at all. The location and property are so picturesque. If you want a relaxing stay near Lyon, stay here. I will go out of my way to come back. Additionally, Alexandra was one of the best hosts we have ever had. She went above and beyond and was extremely friendly without being intrusive. What a gem.

Alex makes this place, she is a fantastic host - incredibly welcoming and has such an infectious positive energy. We took both rooms which meant we also had private access to a lounging / dinner area. A fridge and microwave is also provided stocked with ice cold water. Breakfast was simple and delicious, and Alex went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. The rooms have a really high quality finish, and things like the bedding were very comfortable. Location is great with the nearby town Val de l'Oignt having a few nice options for lunch and dinner as well as supermarkets. Stay here, you won't regret it!

Alex, the host, is amazing. She is very thoughtful and also a great guide. No words can express how amazing the facilities are. The room is lovely and we managed to truly rest in the comfortable bed. The facilities (i.e. bubble bath, shower, room breakfast area) are also very clean. We are thankful that Alex helped us find a place to pick up food when we arrived late in the evening. She even set up a nice dining space in the garden where we enjoyed our food with a beautiful view. Thanks again Alex for hosting us! We will definitely come back!

Nothing to dislike.

the house is tugged beautifully in the local vineyards, surrounded by small villages that host some delicious restaurants,old architecture, cafes and shops. This location is pure nature and it's very calming to be there. the host is super friendly and helpful, supported us after our arrival with restaurant bookings and gave some great recommendations what to do and see. The rooms are spot on clean, brand new, bed super comfy, bathroom great and clean. Breakfast area new and cozy, with views on the vineyards.

Alex has created a beautiful and idyllic retreat in the most picturesque and convenient location to explore this beautiful part of Beaujolais region. Every little detail has been carefully thought through and Alex’s hospitality is second to none. The breakfast, the views and the relaxing vibe that has been created really is special. Nice, modern, new room, spotlessly clean and above all Alexandra is an excellent host who is running her b&b with passion. She is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the garden next to the vineyards was also a highlight. Parking is no problem. The surrounding area is beautiful. We can highly recommend this place. We will definitely come back.

Well designed, comfortable and cosy room. Delicious and varied breakfast in a nice space with views. Pretty garden to relax and enjoy the beautiful vineyard views and rolling hills. Lovely host Alexandra was warm, welcoming, friendly and accommodating and ensured we had a pleasant and enjoyable stay. Walking distance to local winery and village of Bagnols.
