The bedrooms were grotty and in need of updating there was black mould between the floor tiles, bathroom door handle fell off, curtains came off the runner when operated, the pool was closed which we weren’t informed off and because of this my grandchildren were upset, we couldn’t get an evening meal as we were told it was fully booked which we weren’t told we had to pre book.

It was quite a long walk to the town centre for dinner.

The swimming pool was welcome after a hot day's cycling. The room was comfortable. While the information says children are welcome, everyone I saw was aged over 50, though this could have been because it was time for children to go back to school. On the other hand, I couldn't see anything for children to do - and there was plenty for adults.

The pool was pretty small and shut very early and the room was noisy until the evening entertainment finished.

There was a good selection for breakfast and the room although basic, was comfortable and cool even though it was a hot night.

There was nothing we didn't like but a few more facilities would have been great. A kettle / tea & coffee-making facilities in the room would have been much appreciated.

This is a well-priced place to stay with a lovely heated pool. The bedroom was basic but comfy and clean. Breakfast was buffet style with a fairly good choice of cold food - croissants, yogurts, fruit, drinks, etc. I would recommend staying here.

Lack of storage in room, tiny wardrobe and no drawers in a triple room. No kettle or mirror or hairdryer which I class as essential in a 3 star. Breakfast continential grab with long life milk not great for cereal or tea. Pool shut for lunch period,

on checking in we requested a table for dinner for our group but despite the restaurant being open were told it wasn't possible, despite being tired and hungry after a long drive. We sent some of our group to get a Macdonalds take out then were told initially that we could not sit in the outside area to eat it! At this point we pointed out that we could not eat in their restaurant so had no choice but to get our own food. We had hoped to use the pool but it shut at 7pm and didn't reopen until 9am so that too wasn't possible. The rooms were dated, a cracked sink, the flush panel for the toilet fell off the wall when touched, the shower tray had black mould all around the sealant, no tea coffee making facillities, no air conditioning, the curtains had curtain hooks missing so didn't shut well, and despite signs at reception that staff spoke English this was not the case or perhaps she just chose not to when she told us we couldn't use the restaurant.

the room was like an army barracks the shower tray had black mould so we did not use it , on arrival the floor was wet through and dangerous being so wet, there was no comfort in the room very basic

we arrived for breakfast at a quarter to eight and found a poor selection . we arrived after a long drive to be told we could not have dinner at the hotel if you cannot fit everyone in for dinner i suggest you do not take so many bookings, we were told we could go to town not very helpful after a long drive

Breakfast was poor (even with an hour to go there was nothing left and little replenishment of basics like cups and milk). With some motivation it would have been easy for staff to fix this. Even for a budget hotel the rooms didn't even have cups in them. Very simple rooms (OK for the price).

Pool was decent for our children. Location and price was also good for the area. Room was fairly clean

Our spoken French isn't great, so were pleased that there were signs in the Reception area stating that the staff spoke English. However, the staff only spoke French and seemed entirely disinterested, giving us the sense that they would rather not have us there.
