Everything except for 5 flights of spiral staircase. As a 65 y.o solo traveller this was not an easy task carrying 20 kg suitcase.

The building is old and does not have a lift so we had to walk up 5 floors of steps in a spiral staircase with our luggage which was challenging. Everyone should be made aware that this is the situation as one needs to be fit and strong to manage one's luggage whilst climbing these stairs.

The location was excellent. Plenty of public transport and taxis in the area. Felt safe walking around at night. Very friendly for cyclists. Lots of pubs and restaurants around the area. Nice city to walk and plenty to see. Went on a very interesting hop on hop off bus trip.

5 floors without elevators are not for everyone , be careful on this important info. I suggest the owner to add a fan during summer cause there is no A/C and street is quite noisy so at night is not possible to open the window and without fan is very difficult to sleep at night...

The studio is located city center , very close to Hotel de la ville so all the cities attractions and monuments are close to the apt. Owner was kind gentle and helpful...

The only minor gripe would be the spiral stairs to the 5th floor but this in no way affected our stay.

Everything was fine. The apartment corresponds to the description and it is in a great location. Communication with the owner without problems, he allowed us a later check out.

Check in at 17.00 is too late. It is not a hotel, where you can drop the bags at the reception any time. We didn’t want to put out the host by asking to check in earlier, so we walked for a couples of hours with the luggage. Apparently it turned out that the check in is contactless, meaning we probably could have checked in earlier had we known that the host is not supposed to meet us physically.

The location is perfect. The bed is comfy, the room is spacious enough. All is clean.

The steps were much more difficult to navigate than we had anticipated. Getting the keys to enter the apartment was not easy.

Not that we didn’t love climbing the stairs . We knew it was an old building with5 flights of steep stone stairs , they are not for the faint hearted . So don’t book unless you are fit enough to drag your gear up and down them . We are not a fan of chipped crockery .

Fairly close to everything , easy to get to by walking and public transport . Mathieu was great at communicating and helpful responding quickly to our issues . The space is an all in one and we were grateful for the fan as with the windows open it was pretty noisy .

Bed was hard…as a rock. we didn’t read the fine print about 5 flights of stairs, no elevator. Taking 3 suitcases and 2 computer bags up was difficult as we are older. if we’d only come to Europe for only a week, rather than 3, we would have packed far less.

It was 104 steps up very steep stairs - something which had not been flagged up. It's absolutely no use for older people or people with children. It's far too much effort to get to the front door of the apartment.

Easy communication with host. Very clean room, comfortable and has everything you could need. Perfect location to the centre. Lots of shops/bars/restaurants right on the doorstep.

First impressions are very important. We arrived late (flight delayed) & the external appearance was not encouraging, then we could not get access. Owner/agent not on premises & not willing to come & help, but eventually the remote access worked. Internal entrance was dismal & we had not read enough reviews, so were dismayed to find we had to climb 14 steps to 5th floor, with luggage - & we are old! Next morning we found the 1 room aartment very basic but clean & decided to stay put. Arriving late it did not feel safe.

The place was clean enough & close to a number of significant attractions. There is now a fan which works well when windows are shut to keep out the street noise.

Received message to say check in is between 5 and 8pm and would meet us with keys this changed to checkin not available till 6:15pm and no one there so the wait was unnecessary

Not very clean… extremely hot, having to close the windows due to the noise (this is the consequence of the good city center location) the fan was not able to refresh the air… not very good sleep City noise quite intense… like electric buses, motor bikes, and the air compressors of other buildings in the street I overestimate my capacity to climb 5 floors with 4 suitcases… my fault

The apartment is on the 5th floor of an historical building. There is no elevator and the stairwell is winding and narrow making it quite a task to get heavy luggage up to the unit and leaving you winded if you're not at peak fitness. While we eventually adjusted to this it would have been thoughtful to have been forewarned by our host. There was only one bath towel for our use though it was booked for 2 nights for 2 adults. This was immediately brought to the attention of our host who, though apologetic, did nothing to remedy this during our stay. There was one roll of toilet tissue, no hand/paper towel and no hand soap. Suffice it to say, having traveled some distance to get to Lyon and having exerted an olympian effort to climb the stairs to the apartment, we could not immediately enjoy the space as we had to go shopping for basic items that are now staples in any vacation rental/hotel. We took the time to make what we honestly believe to be helpful suggestions on ways to improve which we hope the host will adopt.

The apartment is smack-dab in the heart of Lyon making it a most convenient location. It was clean and there was obvious effort made to create a cozy space.

The owner was forewarned about my early arrival and was no where to be seen. There're no street markings for the flat, just a locked door so I had to approach the retail shop at street level for assistance, Although forewarned in FAQ's, the stairs are very steep if you have mobility issues and/or heavy luggage.

In fairness, the location was outstanding.
