Parking was difficult and handling luggage difficult due to distance from parking area to hotel

The room was very small but this is offset by the wonderful experience of staying in this beautiful village.

We loved our stay in Vezelay. The room was very small but well appointed, very clean and with a window overlooking the square and Basilica. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was stylish and clean. The breakfast was excellent and we ate dinner in the hotel twice and the food was superb. The service was great and the staff were very hospitable. There were two English staff who were very friendly and funny. Parking is off site behind the basilica but very easy to find and only a short walk. Vezelay is an absolutely gorgeous little historic hilltop village with stunning views and lovely little streets to explore.

We loved the location, room, building and restaurant. The chef is so good at creating beautiful and very tasty dishes with local ingredients. I will be back again when we visit that part of France again.

The hilltop location was exceptionally beautiful and Vezely is enchanting. Our hosts were wonderful, helpful welcoming. The room was exceptional, the bed super comfortable and the food was to die for. We will definitely be back!

Very close to the Chateau. The gardens are pleasant and well-maintained. We didn't have the opportunity to use the pool. The breakfast was well-prepared.

The weather - gusty thunderstorms first night!

Great location on the cathedral square with view of the cathedral. Good instructions for access to cathedral visitor's car park. Great restaurant with fantastic staff and excellent food. So good, we stayed an extra day :)

We managed the staircase up to our room with our suitcases, some people might not.

The hotel is located right by the Basilica. The room was clean and comfortable and recently refurbished with a modern bathroom. The evening meal in the restaurant was excellent.

The wash hand basin in my first room was broken and could not be fixed. In the evening there were repeated rather irritating power cuts.

Getting up into the village could be problematic due to the narrowness of the streets but that is to be expected.

The staff were warm and welcoming - very much so. The location directly across from the catherdral is stunning and being able to go out into the village and walk after dark in the shadow of the lit up cathedral is magical. The restaurant is very nice, food reasonably priced and well prepared. Breakfast was also very nice. Parking is only a short walk away.
