Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

SlovakiaI always ordered a hotel with a rating at least 6.7 on booking. These hotels and rooms looked fine with minor flaws. I made an exception and ordered a hotel with a rating of 4.1, specifically this Sylvabelle hotel. I wouldn't call it a hotel, it's a construction site, you can hear construction tools during the day, the walls of the rooms are so thin you can hear a conversation from another room. The room does not match the one in the photos, it looks like a prison cell, other people's hair in the bathroom. In the morning I discovered bedbugs on the wall. I had a hotel in the city (Appart city) with kitchen for the same price, unfortunately it was booked for these days, so I thought that I would get a similar service for a similar price. How terribly wrong I was.

FranceThe place is a total chaos. When you enter lots of furniture is all over place and it smells very bad. It's like an old haunted house with dim lighting. People who work there are not well-dressed or very welcoming. They did not answer their phone nor messages I left on the website. The bed I booked was in room with many beds and beds are so tightly close to each other I could hea the breathe of the person next to me. Who was sick with a runny nose, caughing and also farting. I felt very sick and mad. It felt like a prison. The morning when I woke up I was so suprised after I saw toilets and showers were extremely dirty. People did not even bother to use the flush. One out of two toilets did not even have a flush and the other did not have a light! Washroom was very very dirty with hairs and other stuff and there was absolutely no soap in the entire building. Even the toilet for the staff which was a bit less dirty had no soap. I washed my hands and face in the again dirty kitchen of the building and there was a liquid soap for dishes. The guy who was working there stopped me as I wanted to brush my teeth there. (suddenly they thought, wow this is not hygenic!) by the way the blankets and pillow had not cover. Terrible place, don't waste your time and money here.
Absolutely nothing. Worst place ever. It's better to sleep outside on street than in this super dirty place.

PortugalStaff was rude, hostel a mess full of filth and infection, smelling bad everywhere, water leaking, construction materials everywhere and noise, there was a living room that was reduced to 2-3 square meters like a box because the rest was occupied with filthy mattreses and again construction materials that I understood they are under reforming for 2 years and barely doing anything because the algerian workers are busy smoking all over the hotel instead of doing anything. A filthy business ran by filthy people. Maybe in algeria it is something normal to live in filth but sanitation in France would close it immediately if an insection would go. Not reccomandable.
