On our 2 week trip, this was the only property that required a holding deposit of €200 which, though promptly refunded on our departure, caused some stress trying to pay in advance over the phone on a train platform. This would be easier to pay at the point of booking.

20-30 minutes walk over the river to/from the train station or the Quai de Lesseps coach stop. Short easy walk to the cathedral, city ramparts, Rue d’Espagne and down to the riverside market and restaurants. Large comfortable bed with firm enough mattress. Kettle and compact well equipped kitchenette with useful mini cleaning kit. Good advance communication from multi-lingual reception staff. Bear in mind, the reception opening times, although out of hours arrival/departure can be accommodated

Nothing. I would recommend. You know you have to leave a €200 deposit for the key, but so what?.. it's released as soon as you return the key, anyway. I guess being asked to carry your own rubbish down to the bins is unusual after paying €74 for the night's accommodation.. but it's not a deal-breaker.. just a bit odd!

Excellent position near cathedral in lovely old town. Excellently priced and good quality Asian wok restaurant downstairs open till 9.45pm - a bonus for an evening arrival. Room was clean and spacious with good heating and a nice spacious bathroom and shower. The nicely equipped kitchenette was a bonus, with kettle/tea/coffee/fridge etc. The evening entry system worked well once we worked out how to put our code into the safe box to retrieve apartment key! (A passer-by showed us...!)

Smell from bathroom drain distracted from otherwise quality hotel. No reception for our arrival at 7pm.

There was a lack of small basic things like tea bags, soap, shower gel etc. The WiFi access was very slow.

The apartment was in a perfect location for walking around Bayonne. It was clean with most of the basic facilities.

Upon my arrival the staff seemed a bit dismissve and unwelcoming.

Location was excellent and the apartment was very spacious. WiFi was good. I didn't do any cooking while I was there but it seemed to be well-supplied with what one would need for such. Staff accommodated my wishes to remain in the same room when I added a day.

Happy with it all

great value for money. All facilties for self catering if needed, well located for everything we needed and site seeing easy by walking. Laundry onsite a bonus for travellers. Parking can be difficult but we found street parking easy the first day and at a large car park a very large second one on the waterfron the second night. Amazingly cheap fees or all night.

The air cooler wasn’t working and the room was very warm. The staff was cold, in general, they give you the impression that you are not welcome there. The soap was very little for 2 people and provided only for shower area. The 200 euro deposit is too much for that level of accommodation.

The location and view is perfect. The room was clean and big.

There was a misconception with our shower. As the slope towards the drain was maybe not enough, we had to pay attention no to flood the entire bathroom. But that was just fine, not that bad.

Great location next to the Cathedral, tho quiet. Great staff very efficient 👍 Large rooms with comfy bed. The restaurant downstairs is yummy.

It was very hot and there was no AC in the room. The bed had a duvet, which didn't help.

The room was spacious and quiet. The bed was confortable. Kitchen facilities are much better than other studios/mini apartments I have travelled to. Instant coffee and some tea was provided, as well as dish washing facilities.

There is a deposit to be paid, which is quite unusual. This should be specified more prominently in the payment terms on the app. The television is really tiny and really belongs in a museum. The WiFi was so slow it was not useable at all. The only way to cool down the room I found was to open the windows at night. There is no airco, just a tiny ventilator.

The bedding is comfortable. Acceptable size of the room. Useable kitchenette. Price/quality it is OK.

everything was ok with the hotel- the problem was with booking.com who cancelled my booking two days before because their system refused to update my card details - which I attempted on numerous occasions and it was on the expiry date that needed to change - the result - I was lucky to be able to rebook my three rooms for 9 nights but at a higher price

A broken entrance gate, but reception was aware of this. Some wear on the hardwood floor in the apartment. The freezer needed defrosting. Some small cereal bowls would have been useful.

The room was adequate but towels were thin and our shower flooded easily. The heated towel rack didn't work and we couldn't dry off the towels we used to mop up the water from the shower. No soap provided for handbasin.

It was close to lots of shopping, bars and restaurants. Easy to find and we actually found parking was fine. The room was clean and quiet but the pillows were not the most comfortable. The staff were very welcoming.
