- the area is a bit strange - the mattresses are very thin, 5cm max. - the lockable boxes each bed has are so small, you cannot fit your handluggage - teeny-tiny bathroom (in the four bed room) - I was given bed "A" - arrived in the room to find "A" occupied, the other 3 were free. went back down to reception and told them that "A" was occupied, so I took "B" - they said it was fine. I put my stuff on bed "B" and left the hostel to explore the city. When I came back to the room at night, somebody had removed all my stuff from "B" and was sleeping in it! No go! Not her fault though, she later showed me she had been given "B", even though I told reception that I was in it...:-(

+ overall pretty modern + close to the city centre and the train station + sockets & curtains on each bed + there are 2 options for breakfast you can choose from on site - small for 4€ with a hot drink and a pastry or 9€ for all you can eat, though the options are limited to pastries, one type of cheese, bread, butter, juice, filter coffee, fruit salad

The courtyard was right outside our bedroom window and it was noisy late at night which affected sleep. The room was also too warm and the air-con didnt work so we didn’t have the best night sleep.

The rooms were of a nice size, and were very clean. We enjoyed the breakfast in the morning which we felt was good value for money. The staff were very friendly

In dorm shared bathrooms were tiny. I could barely turn around in the shower.

Options of small breakfast 4€ with one coffee and one croissant. Or buffet 9€ with a small variety of cheeses and spreads. As the next cafe options are a 10min walk away I thought it was a fair price.

I think having 1 shower and toilet for 8 people is a bit ridiculous. Especially early in the morning when everyone is trying to use it. I know there was 1 extra toilet in the hallway but that was shared for all rooms. There should be a few extra toilets and showers on each floor to ease the rush.

The staff were friendly and the communal area outside is great for a drink and meeting people

The lockers inside the room weren’t working or broken and the ones in the basement weren’t free (6 hours 4€).

Noisy streets, mosquitos in room due to windows being left open.

Comfy duvet. Polite staff. Large premises. Close to metro. Plug socket and light next to bed. There was a sense of cleanliness. Easy access in and out of property with no curfew.

- bathroom was flooded everyday due to the showers - locker in the bed didn’t work (it was supposed to be locked with the room card) - locker box damaged too, so basically no safety in the dorm - no vegan milk for breakfast/coffee

- curtains for more privacy in the dorm - easy to get to the train station and Vieux Port - patio - affordable and good breakfast

There is no ordinary kitchen. There is a nice place wirh kettle, microwave and fridge. No sink. The dishes are washed by staff in the brekfeast/entry room. No problem, just good to know.

The bathroom could have been cleaner, and one of the showers did not work. There were a bizarre number of mosquitos in the room, even in February. The latch on my assigned locker was not properly screwed on, so it was not very secure. The area was also a little sketchy - but that is just Marseille.

The location was very central. The bed, room and locker were generally clean. Overall, it was very good value for money.

However, those using the bed right next to the bathroom door in the room may be a bit unlucky. Having one toilet and one bathroom for six people could sometimes be insufficient. The beds on the lower level of the bunk bed might be a bit higher from the ground.

The location of the hotel was really great, and you can easily walk to the marina. I stayed in a private room with a bathroom for 6 people. The room was well-heated and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful.
