No hooks! I had no where in the room to hang my wet towel or coat. The bathroom also, I had to put my clothes on the side and had nowhere to put soap in the shower. The shower was a cold trickle. The men's bathroom was closed at one point and the men used the women's (fine) but with no warning. Then there was 1 shower for the floor.

The decoration is excellent. Beds are comfortable with a curtain, light (which can be dimmed or brightened) and a large shelf. Every bed has a lock box too. It was clean and bright with good air con. Room was big with plenty of space for bags next to the beds. Sink in the room was useful as the bathroom was the other end of the corridor. Staff were friendly and helpful.

There was a fan blowing in the toilet the whole night, however it wasnt that bad In my room there was no secure storage for my belongins, apart from a box which requires a lock. The box is to small to fit a standard suitcase

Cleaners burst into dorms some mornings and cleaned, whether you were sleeping or in the shower. Not earlier than 10am though! Kitchen facilities were a kettle and a microwave, no sink.

Clean, quiet, and well organised with friendly staff. The hostel itself felt safe. Bar with food available at certain times. Situated close to Vieux Porte and Le Panier. 15 mins walk from Gare St George. Paid luggage drop available.

Staff did not check us in correctly so we had a stranger walking into our room as they had been assigned the same room. Thankfully all resolved but concerned what would have happened if we were not in the room at the time. Also generally expensive for the offering.

Clean and comfortable place. Breakfast was basic but good. Had a good location which was easy to access.

Showers leaked a bit and it's water everywhere inside the cabin, making it a struggle to have dry towel/clothes to change

The bar prices seemed to have gone up a lot. No longer seemed to offer a "happy hour'. I therefore drank in a bar about 100m away for around 4eu a pint/50cl cheaper than the hostel price. I wasn't particularly on a tight budget but just felt the bar prices in the hostel were a bit on the (very) steep side.

Scrupulously clean. Spacious dorms. Great good sized and comfy 'Pod' type bunks - bunk light, bunk locker, two shelves, charging points , modesty curtain. Friendly helpful staff. Pleasant courtyard. This was my second time staying here (last time 12 mths ago). Enjoyed my return visit & would happily recommend. Great that breakfast was available earlier than it often is else where - from 07:00. Even better that there's now a toaster so I could indulge my toast obsession at breakfasts (I flagged the absence of one last year). Good location midway between the Vieux Port & St Charles Station.

Homeless people enter the hostel territory (an open-air space on the hostel territory) and spend the night (sleep all night) on benches and tables. In the morning I went out for coffee and sat down at one of the tables with benches. The terrible smell and dirt left by these people forced me to look for sanitizer and change my clothes. I sincerely sympathize with such people; I understand that employees are powerless in this situation. I suggest putting a combination lock on the gate at the entrance to the hostel courtyard.

Very clean room and bathroom. There is a room for paid storage of things It would be a good idea to tell your future guests to bring a small hinge lock in their storage cabinet.

The AC was not working and the receptionist really did not try to solve it. It was quite expensive.

Found it rather expensive tbh. Worlds smalles bathroom in our ladies dorm like in a ship. Also found it weird that one needs to pay €4 for 6h and more to leave luggage after checkout. price for coffee €4, for beer €8 …air condition switched off during the night. I mean it is a hostel after all…

Rooms were quite warm, unsure if this was just a temperature thing but not a lot of natural light or ventilation into the room Bathrooms could have been a little bigger too, only 2 toilets and 3 showers I think, but these are hypercritical points

Incredibly friendly staff at check in and throughout the stay Excellent size and space of rooms. Other guests were quiet but polite Outside courtyard area is amazing, can work or socialise with people, perfect in the evening (was 18-20 degrees in October) Incredibly close to Old Port and Place de la Joliette, and train station too — everything you need in walking distance

The bathroom situation was a little strange. The room wasn't very clean, and the floor of the shower was connected to the rest of the bathroom. There was an unpleasant smell, but it was sufficient enough.

The location was great and easy to find. The dormitories were as expected in a hostel, and the beds were clean.

First I got a dark, smelly room on the ground floor, which didn't look inviting to me. Fortunately I could not find a free bed there, so I got a nice room upstairs. The park next door is a bit smelly (we smelled it in the room), maybe it didn't rain for long time...

My room faced out on to the internal courtyard so was very noisy at night. Area can be a bit dodgy at night but i think that is just Marseille in general.

Really nice staff, easy walk into town and to the train station. Nice courtyard area and the rooms were clean.
