Sadly surrounded by horrible condo blocks from the 1970’s!! Other than that, little gem of heritage in Lyon’s.

Veronique was the perfect hostess and her Yorkshire terrier the perfect old grand guard dog. The decor was Magnifique. A gem of of an old Chateaux brought into contemporary living. Warm as toast in the cold winter months. And massive massive bedroom suit. Fantastic.

On my next stay there I would not take the bus with the luggage up the hill. I would take an uber/taxi. Once figured the location out, it was worth the effort! She waited until we arrived to help us when we got there at night.

The owner is amazing and made a wonderful breakfast. She also helped us get a taxi to the airport. I didn't know it was outside the main part of the city. It was at first hard to find but was an awesome place to stay. She was so helpful and wants guests to be happy.

The squeeky floorboards of the room above, the rather shaky bedroom door which was a bit of a pain to open.... But we got there... Minor quibbles really.

The whole vibe of the room was great a sort of collective mix of memorabilia, old fashioned French style meets modern day....

the host was absolutely fabulous: verry kind, helpfull and correct. the room was super: super en verry beautiful decorated! the breakfast was splendid!

Having to use a shared toilet was unexpected as this was not made clear in the description, since the other bathroom facilities (not modern but quite useable) are within the room. Finding the Reception was a little difficult - could use a sign or two outside.

Like staying in a big provincial country château, but inside a big regional city. Veronique is a wonderful hostess.

Only two small things, no aircon so when we arrived after a 40 degree day it was a bit stuffy. bathroom also didn’t have a proper curtain so we had to adjust it to avoid feeling paranoid that people could look in.

Great place with beautiful decor and cute breakfast in the morning with other guests. For anyone wanting a restaurant walking distance I highly recommend La Patio which is 18 min walk.

The only problem we encountered was a street light shinning directly onto our pillows and in our faces and no means to stop it; there were no curtains. While the tub is a grand one with jet streams, it makes plain-old showering a bit difficult.

The room was gorgeous with beautiful, stylish furbishing, plenty of space, grandiose high ceiling and French, floor to ceiling doors leading onto the balcony. The same could be said of the attached bathroom. The former villa, now airbnb, is located near a park but surrounded by apartments. Parking was right in front of the home. The owner was very sweet and caring. Although they do not allow pets, we were allowed to keep our service dog with us.

I had the single bedroom on the first floor which does not include a toilet in the room. This was no problem as I still had a private bathroom for myself but you had to leave the bedroom and go across the hallway to get to the toilet. Sink and small bathtub were inside the bedroom though.

The room was very nice and comfortable. You could see that lots of love and thoughts were put into decorating it as well as into the whole concept of the hotel. It is a very special stay as it is in an old castle with a lot of charm. The owner is very nice and the breakfast was top. I really loved staying here.

just tough for us to sleep as we’re used to have 100% blackout windows. And in this case there’s a lot of light that comes inside when sun rises.

The castle is just beautiful and well maintained, the suite is huge as well as the bathroom with a great jacuzzi. Lovely breakfast included and parking facility by free.
