How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

For the price point there wasn't really anything to complain about. The hostess was helpful and accommodating, the breakfasts were good and the rooms were kept clean. What more could we reasonably expect for the price?
The breakfasts were good and decent value for money. Certainly better than having to find somewhere to eat every morning. The ski room in the basement was perfectly functional too.

Rooms were warm, dry, clean and well looked after. We had plenty of towel changes and bathroom replenishments. The management were lovely and their dog Rambo was beautiful.

More GF options!
Breakfast was ok for most of my party. Pastries, yogurts, boiled eggs etc. I'm Gluten free and no options to make the breakfast worth it for me.

Slight smell of smoke in the mornings which may have been other guests smoking in their rooms.
We booked a 2 star hotel and this is what Hotel Valerie is, yes the room was on the small side and also the bathroom but this is 2 star so we didn’t expect more. We slept like logs, the water was always piping hot and Madame couldn’t have been nicer, even letting us use one bedroom after the check out time to store all our bags in till we departed which meant we and our friends could change and sort ourselves out in comfort before heading to the airport after squeezing in a half day of skiing. Breakfast was very good too.

The rooms were generally clean but some dust under the beds and in corners. The decor was quite dated and the bathroom had a bath with a shower fitting fitting but no shower curtain meaning you could not have a stand up shower. Plenty of hot water though.
The breakfast at the hotel was good value, with plenty of choice in addition to croissants there were cheese, ham, brioche, cereal and home made apple cake, which was lovely, range of juices and hot drinks plus some fresh fruit. Beds were comfortable and good storage space. The ski locker in the basement with door out into the street was really practical and appreciated. The lady owner was always friendly, chatty and helpful.

needs an upgrade as the hotel has a lingering aroma of staleness. breakfast basic - could do with more fruit, more gluten free, more yoghurts.

Maybe a little expensive at 12 Euro, 10 Euro would have been fair, no complaints though as better than other establishments.
Hotel breakfast was great with plenty of variety.

The hotel is a bit outdated. But it is well located and clean. The staff is very friendly. The price-performance ratio is very good. The Wi-Fi is not fast, but reliable and stable. There is free parking nearby (100m). Towels are changed every day

Location is perfect for snowboarding/skiing. The hotel has an area to store your board/skis and change into your boots. Rooms are great, basic but cosy while still being spacious.

the hotel was about 2 minutes from the lifts which was brilliant. Our host was lovely and so accommodating on our last day. breakfast was simple but set us up perfectly for a day on the slopes!

central, value, breakfast, clean, warm, and boot room for ski storage.
Simple accommodation but clean, tidy, and everything you could require for a ski holiday - central, close to lifts, ski school, bars and restaurants. Ski / boot room was good, and continental breakfast was enough to set you up till the evening. Owner / manager lives on site and was quick to respond when residents where locked out. Highly recommend!

Beds were not comfy. Pillows were not at all comfy. Bath was filthy and when we complained to the owner/cleaner, she came to the room in storm, insisting it was clean, and left in a temper. I pushed the dirt around myself with my finger when bathing, which was not pleasant. The shower did not have a curtain which meant that the water sprayed everywhere, when we brought this to the owners attention, they just said "yes, that happens", so we had to slosh around on a wet floor after showers. Again not pleasant. Furniture in the rooms was extremely basic. TV's were about 13 inches and heating in the bathroom was non existent - using the bathroom was rather grueling with a freezing cold seat. It was more like a hostel, than a hotel.
Did not have breakfast at this resort.
