There was one day when the hotel was locked at midday, I could not go in, and although there was a sign with a telephone number on it (calling from a foreign number is not always easy), it did not work. I came back 30 minutes later, when it was open. It was inconvient, they said sorry. Maybe a simple bell would have been better for such occasions. THere was no English language tv channel (or German).

The location of the hotel was excellent, near, in the city centre, but very quiet. The bathroom and the separate toilet (I prefer it this way, although most hotels nowadays have it in one room) was clean, cleaned every day. The staff was friendly. My windows opened on a nice little garden with birdlife-this in the middle of a city.

The room and bathroom fixtures are a bit outdated and dark.

Halfway between the train station and town centre, it's in a good location. Small and quiet, room was clean and bed was comfy. Perfect for a short stay. They kindly stored my stuff after check out until my departure in the afternoon.

Poor wi-fi. This seemed to be a problem all over, so not specifically a problem for this hotel.

Breakfast wasn’t great value for money. Staff over breakfast weren’t present and were just smoking outside. Was a bit unprofessional. Our toilet wasn’t clean either.

Location was ideal, good parking options too.

Only 1 electric socket in room, none in tbe bathroom. They should have at least 2. I could hear people in other rooms through the night. The wifi kept dropping out. The bed was not as comfortable as other hotels. The pillows not good quality.

Good location, close to a beautiful park and one of the main streets for shopping and that leads to the centre where the museums are. The staff was polite and accommodating. The breakfast was good, the fresh viennoiseries and bread were delicious. Tea, coffee, chocolate and cereals are available in a buffet style.

As in many European hotels the sink plug was completely useless!

Very nice stay at this well located hotel just north of the city centre but walkable in 5-10 minutes. Also 5 mins from the tram stop. Hotel is in a quiet residential street. Very helpful reception staff - allowed me to drop my bags 3 hours before check in. Room was clean with a comfortable bed and decent shower.

Some people might find the room small, but for the price it was just fine.

After a late meeting in Paris, I stopped in lower-cost Dijon on my way home to Switzerland. This small hotel and its friendly 24-hour reception are an 8-minute walk from Dijon's main train station. On my way to the hotel, I bought some food items at a convenience store. The room and bathroom were roomy enough; there was a folding stand for my suitcase. My room looked out on a silent garden. I was able to keep my food cool on the outside window sill.

A bit cranky beds. The hotel and rooms smelled a bit dusty (but not dirty).

Not too expensive room nearby the city centre (walking distance).

NOTE: we did notice a lift and all the bedrooms are on the first and second floors. If you have mobility issues, you might want to check on this detail before booking. Every room and fire door squeaked, clattered and slammed shut. They could do much in one hour with an oil can to quieten hinges, spanner to tighten loose mechanisms and a screwdriver to reset all the automatic door closing rates. It really wasn't a big issue, but as everybody arose for breakfast you were aware of the movement and banging, the room did have an inner door that did help slightly. The day we visited they were a short staffed in the morning (this might not be generally representative), such that one man was running back and forth between the reception desk (handling check-out) and the breakfast bar. Hence some things were being missed; e.g. cereal, but no desert spoons or milk. e.g. bread, meats and jams, but no plates. So some odd stuff, but on balance we quite liked it.

Good location and suited our needs as a one night stop over, when travelling. The hotel is an older building and that is reflected in the layout, decor and details. The recently refurbished shower room, dark tiles and crisp lighting and the room had new double glazing; this shows some work was ongoing to freshen up and invest in this hotel. Unfortunately the use of a shower curtain instead of a door spoiled the new shower, making it feel dark and small (despite the new lighting). Slightly odd arrangement with the toilet being in a separate cupboard... so that you had to walk around, through the main bed room, to the shower room in order to wash your hands. The underground car park was a great benefit in this city centre location, but note the car park was tight and not particularly cheap. Dijon looked fantastic, but as this was a stop over on a journey home we had no chance to explore the city (maybe next time).
