Everything was superb - we would happily stay again. Above all, the courtesy and manners of the hosts were striking. It was a beautiful setting all around.

It was all perfect. The breakfast had homemade produce and all very fresh. The dining room is beautiful.

Well. What can we say. What a stunning find! Sadly it was just an overnight stay but wish it had been for longer. The house is stunning and steeped in history. Very traditional French decor which was beautiful. The atmosphere in the fascinating building is very relaxed, informal and comfortable. Our host was lovely! Gave a superb recommendation for a restaurant and an explanation on the history of the property. The grounds were beautiful too and the village has historical value. We would love to return.

Nothing particular.

The Châtelet was the perfect place to escape the busy-ness of the city. It is just one hour from Paris, but quiet, fresh, and full of kind people. It is also close to the historic town, Compiegne where offers us lots of interesting history of France. Châtelet owner was wonderful and kind with warm hospitality. Her dog was cute too.

Nothing negative, we loved it.

We came for „Masters de Feu“ in Compiègne. Perfectly located for that. The Villa is a beautiful old house in a wonderful park, you forget that there is a village around! Completely calm. We had the little side house, wish it would have been summer and could have stayed longer and sit in front of our little side house in a summer night with a glass of wine. Breakfast yummie! Anytime again!

This is a beautiful house in a truly lovely setting. The drive up to the house and the surrounding gardens are gorgeous. Our host was very welcoming and gave us a really good restaurant suggestion in Compiegne which was a short drive away. There is direct access to lovely walks in the forest and our host suggested a circular route which we really enjoyed. Honesty bar was very reasonably priced, nice pool table. Thank you!

A wonderful house with a history , nestled in a park with huge old trees . We enjoyed a peaceful night in a highly comfortable bed . The rooms are beautifully and tastefully decorated . It is a perfect place to stay for a visit of Compiegne and the Surroundings, but also Paris , if you want to use the train instead of your car and then return to a quiet place in Nature for a good rest ! Thank you Alix de Lauzanne for your warm Welcome , the lovely Breakfast, and a memorable stay ! We will come again !

It's hard to say what could be done better because everything was just great.

My recent stay at Villa du Châtelet, an enchanting old French villa, was an unforgettable experience that transported me back in time while offering modern comforts and exceptional service. The staff's warmth, the rich history, and the villas unique charm combined to create a one-of-a-kind getaway. The Villa du Châtelet staff truly made my stay special. From the moment I arrived, their friendliness, professionalism, and attention to detail were evident. They were always ready to assist with any request, whether it was providing directions to local attractions or helping me plan a day trip to explore nearby things to see. While the villa does not offer a full-service restaurant, the staff were more than happy to recommend excellent dining options in the nearby town.

A lovely home to home feel. The host made us so welcome on arrival. Lovely room with a balcony with great views. I could not have asked for a nicer place to stay on our last night of our holiday. Great breakfast and awesome home made jam ! The host organised a restaurant booking for us as we arrived late. A great stop off with only an hour away from Calais. Thank you

We had a very comfortable stay in the Villa. Our bedroom was spacious and beautifully furnished. Alix was incredibly helpful with lots of information on the local area. We were sorry not to be able to stay longer. We hope to return again soon!

Great location full of history, just sorry we had only stopped off on our way through to the tunnel as there would appear to be plenty to do locally. The host was very knowledgeable about the history of the property and the surrounding area. We ate at a restaurant recommended by the host which was superb. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Their’s nothing to do in this village so actually only for people who looking for a calm and quiet place. Lovely to rest and relaxed.

The lovely atmosfeer, building, amazing rooms, nature and friendly staff. The food was delicious and home made with fresh herbs from the garden. Also the garden was so huge and the little village really gives you a calm feeling.

Nice property, we were put in the granny flat not in the main house, which was OK. However no TV or wardrobes. ☹️
