Breakfast great. The bar area and staff were approachable and engaged. Loved the wood fire place being lit on the cool evenings. Loved that the hot water was truly hot; made for a good shower and/or bath.

Lovely cosy hotel, located in heart of Bayeux. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed and room was a good size. Breakfast was very nice and in a homely dining area. We really enjoyed our stay here

Literally everything! The staff (Kimberly, Quinten), the location, the 5 star amenities, the breakfast, the bar. I felt at home from the moment I stepped in the door.

The location was very convenient to restaurants, bakery and train. We also had booked a group tour and the meeting place was around the corner.

Can't think of anything that I didn't like.

Breakfast was wonderful in the on site breakfast room. Staff was warm, friendly and very helpful. Great location, spacious room and bathroom. Gated parking on site. There is no dinner restaurant on site which we were informed of when making the reservations and did not negatively impact our visit - the staff did an excellent job in making dinner reservations for us to restaurants that were easily walkable.

Excellent quality of breakfast. Good attentive service and good choice of food in the buffet. Very good family type ambiance. Very attentive, helpful staff, with very good recommendations for restaurants and recreation activities. Really personable.

There is absolutely nothing that they could do better. We felt very safe and cared for during our entire stay. Everyone knew our names and greeted us with a smile.

The location of Villa Lara was perfect! There were several restaurants and historic landmarks within easy walking distance. The staff was incredible. The owner took us on a tour of the city which was the highlight of our trip. The hotel is also in a perfect location to meet tour companies for the Normandy WWII tours. Outstanding stay!

We thought breakfast a little pricey so we ate elsewhere Toiletries in bathroom very unappealing Needed Privacy curtains on bedroom windows - some sort of sheer blind or nets needed

Location was superb Room design & size were excellent - furniture & beds very comfortable & clean Bathrooms wel stocked with towels & robes Staff were extremely helpful

The pull out couch was really our only compliant. It was not comfortable. Not sure if there is such a thing a comfortable one, but that was our only issue. I did not give the highest for value, but some of that was timing. When I was able to book early, I had a great rate. Unfortunately, when I booked within a month of wanting to stay, coupled with the time of year, the price was much higher. That being said, the staff and their hospitality made it worth the extra.

The location and the staff were 10++. Loved them all. The hotel was also very clean and they went above and beyond to satisfy, which was greatly appreciated. Definitely recommend.

Very nice hotel stuff, engaged especially the young stuff were extremely nice, attentive and smart. We don’t find this often nowadays 👍keep up the spirit
