The metal blinds which I did not know how to lift. There is no any fridge to keep a little food in the common area.

I had stayed two nights at Bacalan Hostel. I was on my city escape and booked shortly before my arrival to Bordeaux. I was impressed by the facilities which had been offered to us. The Staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The breakfast had a wide range of foods and drinks. The Cafe was well stocked. Also, the gym was well equipped in case of free time to do. The hostel was clean with enough space in the common area lounges. There is no any fridge to keep your food in the common area. If you need to get to the rail station or airport you have to plan enough time , because one of the bridges to the marina Bordeaux may be lifted and you need to divert the route through another one. The hostel is very close to three important points at Bacalan to see: 1. The City of Vin - 18 museums, 2.The Hales of Bacalan - where there are over 20 stalls of cooked foods and many tables to sit and have lunch or dinner. 3. Galerie D' Art and the Garden of Les Vivres De L'art ( Le domaine du possible) just across the tram lane.

A little bit out of the central city but well connected by trams

A perfect hostel: very clean, curtains on each bed in the dorm rooms, multiple lockers for each guest, great common room area, helpful staff. Could also leave luggage there before check in at no extra cost. I would highly recommend this hostel, it’s one of the best I’ve stayed in.

The location is very close to the famous Cité du Vin but pretty far from anywhere else. The perfume products that they use all around the place smell weird.

The beds are comfortable with each having their own curtain. There are 2 lockers to use and the bathroom is inside the room. The lobby area is also a café and a coworking space so there are a lot of spaces to work or just to relax. There's no kitchen but there are microwaves and utensils free to use. The baggage storage is free to use as well.

The staff is very polite and they speak English very well. There was no communication issue. The location is also very good. 5-10 min walk to tram.

Decor, furniture was cool. Room were functional we had a full 8 bed dorm that comes with en suit toilet and shower. Communal area were spacious and equipped with games, good breakfast selection. Easy to reach from airport and city center.

Breakfast is worth the money, bed was really comfy and I love the courtains + mirror + lights on each space. I liked how the toilet and shower were separated via a door from the bed area. This way the noise wasn't too disruptive. The extra basin the bedroom was also convenient. Lockers are just big enough for a personal item, but this is fine. Toilets and bathroom were always clean . It isn't exactly in the middle of touristic points but I did everything by foot sometimes i use tramway to move fro place to other. My greeting to stuff.

someone in the room snoring really loud for the whole night and i couldn’t get some sleep

staff is very friendly, help me to get hot water every day. the toilet and shower are very clean. the curtain is useful when you try to sleep during the day and help protect privacy.
