When the bar is open, the kitchen space is to small for the non Bar user (sitting). Also the Bar reserves some space in the kitchen with priority to prepare food for the bar, which is understandable but also minimizes the space (preparing meals, cleaning dishes). You had to label your food (legitimate), but there was just a pen and no paper/labels to do so. As I don't bring labels with me all the time it was bit of a struggle... Closing time for kitchen is complicated if you're checking out earlier. They changed the doorcode (legitimate), but didn't tell me, so that I struggled to get in in the evening one night, which was a bit scary. Should have been mentioned at checking as they knew how long I would stay... Separating showers and toilets would be better. Coworkingspace was smaller than expected and not all seating options were really good to work with

The living conditions at YASI border on those of a hotel: it is clean, there is plenty of privacy, quiet times, a working area, an outside area, a bar and a small breakfast buffet. If you are looking for parties and an unrestricted atmosphere, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for friendliness, proximity to the train station and comfort, this is the place for you - and at an excellent price.

The warm welcome upon arrival set the tone for a fantastic stay. While the bathroom facilities could use some improvement, the overall experience was excellent. One suggestion would be to consider adding a small space for quiet contemplation . Nonetheless, the friendly atmosphere and great service made this stay truly memorable. Highly recommended !

The lockers under the bed needs two locks to be closed, instead of requiring two locks from clients, installing a small metal plate behind the doors would make sense.

The toilets/showers could have been better maintained/ cleaner. Although they clean it 3 times a day. It was a bit far from old town but easily accessible through public transport.

The staff was amazing and very helpful. I liked the bar with its open deck. The kitchen was fully equipped and clean! The bed was very comfortable with a curtain attached for privacy. They had ample storage inside the room plus a charging point just above each bed for convenience. The neighbourhood was quiet and calm with a supermarket just across the street!

Very nice breakfast, good atmosphere, close to gare de Lyon and super-friendly stuff! I recommend staying at YASI´s Hostel and will return the next time I pass by Lyon.

The spaces were a little bit on the smaller side.

Delicious breakfast, comfortable beds and the staff is really nice. They saved my luggage for a few hours after check out. The bathrooms were clean and the location is right in front of a bus stop.

It’s a little far away from the main attractions in Lyon, but luckily the city is well-connected by metro/trams

In the beds with the curtains it was really warm, probably a problem in the summer all breakfast options are sweet and not super filling (and just not many, like no muesli, but not bad if you are used to bread and jam)

Easily walkable from the central station, good kitchen and coworking space, beds have curtains for privacy, I could check in few hours earlier which was super convenient Tip: bring a lock to close the lockers!
