“I am biased - this my favourite pub set in the centre of my favourite village. It is a glorious area. Carlisle-Settle railway nearby and there is wild swimming about 1.5 miles away. Easy to find and excellent parking around the back. Very warm welcome. Very traditional old pub on a cobbled street with a wonderful facade. Spacious room with comfortable bed. All very clean. I shall return again and again.”
