  • Meadowlea Guest House Review score: 9.3

“I think this guesthouse is more comfortable, well facilities, with cleanses than some hotels. I felt consideration to customers from owners. There are is a sink in my room, and towels, coffee, tea, cookies are provided. Breakfast was really good as well.”

  • Larksfield Loft Review score: 9.6

“Just a short distance on a country road and you come to Larksfield loft. A beautiful and quiet setting. The facilities are great with your own bedroom, bathroom and sitting room (basically the whole of the upstairs).”

  • “Lovely room, very friendly owner, beautiful village”

  • “We got upgraded on arrival and had a lovely large bedroom which was very clean and beds were super comfortable. Reception desk staff on arrival could not have been more accommodating and made us feel at home.”

  • 'The Cottage' Review score: 9.5

“The place and hosts were amazing”

  • Collaven Manor Review score: 9.3

“Beautiful place to stay, lovely gardens and the couple running the hotel were extrememly helpful We cycled and there was a secure shed to store our bicycles The breakfast was delicious”

  • “The staff were great throughout - from the receptionist to the cleaners - polite and friendly. Room was spotless. Lovely private shower room. Room was next to pub garden, but the windows kept the sound out very well. Children’s artwork dotted around - different and liked. Dinner was great there! Staff were enjoying their job and having a jolly time, including all the chefs - rarely see this! Breakfast - classic Spoons. Quality and decent price. Still one of my favourites! You won’t be disappointed! Just up the hill from the hotel, there’s a place that rents bikes. If you get there early enough you can hire an electric bike for £35 until 15:30! Bargain and great fun! I will never ride a human powered bike ever again! Ideal location for going up Meldon reservoir- stunning location. 25 minute drive from Roadford Lake - which was an accidental find! Walked for an hour, but could have kept going! Stunning scenery.”

  • “All of it. Natasha and Colin were great. Really comfy bed, spotlessly clean. Breakfast 8 out of 10.”

  • “Really great room for a family. Double bed in 1 x room and 2 x single in another. Great bathroom. Wish there were more like it and amazing price.”
