Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomShower wasn’t very good, pressure not very high and can’t stand under it as the bath slopes at that end. Rain head would work better. No parking, a bit awkward worrying if someone is going to be upset with you parking in ‘their’ space.
The cottage has great style, comfy bed and sofa, kitchen fully equipped.

United KingdomNothing to dislike at all
Really relaxing and thoughtfully finished with some lovely touches We heard music one morning and it was our dogs tail wagging on the guitar at top of stairs😃 Beautifully quiet and although no adjacent parking it wasn’t a problem as there was space 60 yards away or in car park of the Penrhos Inn the staff of which were lovely, We will definitely book again Thank you Chris Julie and Harley 👍 food good and inn clean and traditional

United KingdomParking outside is vertically impossible but Shirley at the pub which is totally opposite was very nice and didn’t mind us parking there at all. The bath is a little hard to climb out off, my partner has had two hip replacements and it’s a big step down. Other than that 🥰 would come back again definitely.
Absolutely beautiful would move in tomorrow which says it all.. There’s a lovely little shop/cafe 20second walk from the cottage, with fresh milk, homemade products..fresh bread/cakes etc. the pub with lovely meals is a minute walk.

United KingdomIt would of been nice to have a washing machine because if you are staying for the week there is no where to wash your clothes.
The cottage is finished to a good standard and is set in a beautiful location.

United KingdomThere is no garden at the property, the fact that there is a river walk 2 minutes away by foot was great (but this was made clear before travelling). There is no parking guaranteed parking at the site, it is on a first come first served basis. The road to the property is very narrow and one way, a three point turn is needed to turn around I would highly recommend parking at the top road or check with the pub to save any hassle (it's only a few minutes walk away). The pub food is nice and also the atmosphere. There is a shop/cafe on the corner of the road - this is not dog friendly so we didn't use it. I'd place the long white bedroom mirror between the radiator and the window, it was behind the clothes rail so couldn't use it. Perhaps privacy glass on the lower half of the bedroom windows? Not a big issue to be fair, there wasn't much I'd tweak.
First impressions were good, as it was clean and tidy. I took lots of sofa throws which were a Godsend, the furniture looks new and I wanted to made sure it stayed that way. The cottage is in a great location for travelling out to various places. We found the bed to be a good size and comfortable, the bathroom was gleaming. All kitchen implements were provided and there was plenty of lighting. Thank you x x x x

United KingdomThere was nothing not to like, we couldn't park right by the cottage but free parking on the road about a minute away was no problem.
The decor was really nice especially loved the Gekko on the bathroom wall. The bed very comfortable, settee also great for slobbing watching television, all the facilities one could want and in a very quiet location. The cottage was in a perfect location for the coast, the hills and the rivers and lakes nearby. Owners checked in with us by phone message but we didn't have any requests. All in all a lovely stay in an excellent cottage, the pictures do not do the place justice...cosy. If in this area again will definately try to stay here. Our dog also found the living room especially comfortable for a snooze & snore.
