How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The gate doesn't open from the outside unless you shake it vigorously for a minute. This was not explained to us until we called on the phone. The gate should be left open or instructions on how to open the gate should've been told to us beforehand.
Warm insulated house. Modern and sleek design. Clean house with plenty of necessities. Great and quiet area.

Narrow space to get car in, heating was tricky to get working at the beginning. The bed felt broken, and a little uncomfortable.
The layout, balcony, cleanliness, car space, door to the yard. Communication with host. Would definitely stay again.

Could do with a small bottle of washing up liquid and a handful of dishwasher tablets. Plugs for sinks and bath too.
Spacious house and comfortable beds. I would definitely visit again!

Toilet paper was not available, when asked she said, go & grab it from Market ! Towels & Toiletry items (soap, body lotion & shampoo etc) were not provided. After booking was done she asked for GBP 100 as security & later on we need to do follow up for refund
Good spacious accommodation, we were 4 person, otherwise even 5-6 persons can be accommodated.

Only minor things. Balcony needed outside chairs and table. Patio doors missing key, only 1 bath towel provided for 2 people in 2 bedroomed property.
Great property to stay in, very clean, bright and comfortable. good location, car parking excellent. Great communication from Naz during our stay.

20mins walk from town, but only £4 in a taxi to the centre which was great
lovely, comfortable, private accommodation! had everything we needed! fridge freezer, oven, Netflix, 2 bedrooms, shower and bathroom! and private parking!

Great, clean place with ample space. Good communication from the owner and location is ideal for a easy stroll in to the City. Private parking was available which is an added bonus!

Liked it all
This little apartment was not what we expected, it was so much more. My sister an I were only there for 2 nights but we wished we could've stayed longer. It was beautifully clean and tidy and had everything you need for a fantastic stay. The bedrooms are a good size with extremely comfortable beds. The bathroom has a separate shower and bath and there is another toilet downstairs. The kitchen comprises of a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, oven and hob, there is also a table and chairs which fit comfortably in there. The living area has a TV which has netflix and an L shaped sofa, there are French doors leading to a private courtyard. We throughly enjoyed ourselves and felt right at home. I would happily recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to visit Leicester and will 100% return

Overall a positive experience. However we had to contact the host to provide essential items, ie, forks, t towels wine glasses. There were few utensils to cook with, an old assortments of worn out saucepans that did not match the beautiful kitchen, no coffee plunger, tea pot or jug. Not even a pinch of salt. (This felt very unluxurious) As much as appreciated the responsiveness of the host I did feel there was not much oversight into what was required and missing for people who had a booking for 21 days.
The apartment was clean, spacious and has a beautiful functional kitchen. easy access to the apartment after a long haul flight from Australia. The host was responsive in resolving issues of missing essentials in the apartment. The location is 20mins walk to cbd along the canal or few pounds in an Bolt or Uber

This detached house is cozy and comfortable. The Wi-Fi, which is free of charge, is very fast. With high definition TV, we enjoyed watching Netflix and YouTube very much. For those who loves soccer, it's just a few minutes' walk to the King Power Stadium!
