Maybe we are getting old, but the matress could have been better quality, and the bed needs some of the allen screws tightening (we used the loft bed but the other bed is identical). The information sheets were inaccurate, referring to a lawn for example. There was no Wi-Fi password leaflet so you have to know to look on the bottom of the Wi-Fi router. How to use the TV was incorrect and led us to think NowTV must have been available, but it seems they just provide internet access. Some more detail on how to turn the central heating on would be useful (we figured it out, but it might confuse some not used to combi boilers).

Great location next to the canal and a short walk to the town centre. Liked all the personal touches that made it feel like a home rather than a hotel room. Generally speaking we can highly recommend. The other comments are intended to be helpful rather than criticism!

Central heating boiler old and unreliable. On arrival it was not working and took 3 hours to get fixed and heat the property. The management couple were very helpful and contactable and came to fix it. However it meant we lost most of the first afternoon and evening before we could stay and begin our break

Overrun with fruit fly/midge type insects which seemed to be coming from a plant in the living room, reported to the owners so hopefully sorted now. Very small kitchen although not really a problem as we were only there for the weekend and only used it for cooking breakfast.

What a great spot to stay, right by the canal, walking distance to the Hebden Bridge centre with its lovely shops, market and pubs. We enjoyed various walks directly from our doorstep. The house was warm, clean and had all we needed it but a hairdryer. The parking was available right next to the door. (Avoid if you are unsteady on your feet as the steps are quite narrow and steep.)

No big surprises as the reviews were pretty accurate. The furniture and soft furnishings could do with updating, and we were put off by the strong smell of cat pee in the kitchen which wouldn't dissipate. The TV remote controls were challenging and the bed is queen size (so 6ft 4 husband was squished!). Also, one toilet roll per each night stay would seem reasonable.

There was no iron and I sent a message to ask where to find it when I arrived but I didn’t receive an answer.

I can’t find fault with the property. It had everything we needed for our stay & was well presented & clean.

There was nothing really to dislike, stair are quite steep but to be expected in this type of property.

Really lovely house, nice and clean with everything you need. it’s in a really good location, next to the canal, easy to walk to the park and town. The yard at the back is full of flowers and has a nice seating area.

The house needs a little TLC, s lick of paint here and there, the blinds on all the windows need fixing. Just minor things but it makes all the difference.

Hebden Bridge was lovely, the location of the property was spot on.

Only thing I would say was there is a large cleaning fee included but we were asked to take any rubbish with us in the morning and had two messages quite early on reminding us to check out which seemed a bit excessive
