Sofa was very uncomfortable. With having two young kids we spent quite abjt of time in the house in the evening and would have loved to be able to chill out on the sofa. However Ia was stiff, small and not comfy.

Great location and facilities. Very nicely decorated and great size for us and the kids. Owner Christina was really helpful when I lost the key! Really enjoyed our stay here

The door handles could be quite temperamental especially the living room door, this would be problematic for those with children or the elderly. The outside space description is a little misleading, we were expecting it to be limited as this is a terraced property but there was virtaully none at all. Having travelled with 2 dogs we were hoping to be able to spend some evenings sitting outside but with 4 adults as well this wasn't really possible.

The location couldn't have been better - the property was clean and well maintained. The provision of tea, coffee and biscuits was a nice touch. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for 4 adults to shower.

On arrival discovered the shower was broken & more information about the parking would have been helpful as it is pot luck if you get parked near the accommodation.

Really was home from home, very comfortable & everything you could need was provided. Great location for Whitby centre and to get to nearby towns.

Had a lovely stay, although found baby bottle under sofa, cobwebs, two chipped mugs and didn't realise how small court yard would be. Neighbours dogs barked all night or howled every night 😞

The house was fresh looking the facilities was fine, the steps and the the stairwell steep to negotiate regards to ourselves and older people, the beds very shallow struggling to get down and get up from the shallow bed, needs a handrail in the bath area ok for younger people but not for oldies like us

Doors to living & attic bedroom stuck. Settees in living room became uncomfortable, small furnishings need replacing, no instructions for oven or dish washer. Steep steps with hand rail main entrance into property & steep staircases in property.

Very unsafe property for older people and children. 5 steep steps to the front door which made carrying cases etc in or out very awkward. Then inside although the hosts had fitted warning tape, it was easy to trip over the different floor levels from the hall into the lounge and from the dining area into the kitchen. The stairs inside were so steep another hand rail would be advisable. We only stayed one of our two nights and we did not take our cases upstairs. Parking on the street was a nightmare. One of the photos on this site shows a view of the harbour as if its from the house -its not. This was one reason we booked the house. Some warning about the steps should be mentioned.

Modern tasteful interior with a good bathroom and well equipped kitchen. Everything was very clean and the beds very comfortable. It’s in a very convenient location for all the attractions in Whitby and the railway and bus stations.

Beds were all very uncomfortable. Open coil springs - really ? Sofas also uncomfortable. But the thing that really affected our stay was the noise from the screeching seagulls. We came home early to get some sleep. The car parking was impossible, we had to park a good 5 - 10 min walk away every day. I really had never imagined the parking would be so bad. North Yorkshire is lovely but I don't think I would stay in Whitby ever again, there are much nicer quieter places.
