Room 7 needs bedside light on both sides. Dressing table chairs in both rooms pretty but a bit wobbly

Beautiful property very close to cathedral, shops and restaurants etc.

This is a beautiful old building in the grounds of the cathedral within a few seconds walk of the centre of Chichester. The booking and access to the rooms was well organised, there was parking available for all our cars and the rooms were clean, comfortable and charming.

nothing - the only thing that could have been made easier was guidance to the property from the car park in the pre-arrival email. There was a Christmas wreath covering the 4 cannon lane house sign so we walked around for 15 mins trying to find the property!

fantastic location - great to be in the grounds so close to the cathedral and such an easy and pretty stroll in to the town.

I was a bit concerned about the parking as there was no easy mechanism to register the vehicle on arrival. Threat of £100 fine was on my mind.

Great location next to the Cathedral.

Perfect setting, right in the centre, but quiet and peaceful in the historic area behind the cathedral. Very comfortable place to stay. The floodflit view of the cathedral from room 5 was spectacular.

Better explanation of the payment system. I paid thru booking.com but there were repeated uncertainties about the confirmation of the booking and if my credit card payment had gone thru

Important heritage site in the UK. The view from the room inspired us to visit the Cathedral. We would like to order 2 cathedral mugs which were in the room. The design is sold out in the museum shop. If the management agrees, please order for us and we will pay you back.

The bath plug did not fit very well so the water kept running out. This was, overall, a minor issue.

An excellent location in a beautiful setting. It was good to be so close to the cathedral and we enjoyed the city very much. Chichester is our favourite location for a pre-Christmas break and this year did not disappoint. Many thanks to Amy for welcoming us and sorting out a parking glitch.

This is our third visit. This time we had Room 7 - and did not like it. Bed too small, no bedside light at one side. Windows small and high in the wall with blinds hard to use. But this is not representative of the accommodation in general… other rooms are much better.

Fantastic location, lovely old house. Lovely gardens nearby. Dry peaceful.

A couple of cracked windows. Entry and exit strictly limited to the exact hours. No breakfast but plenty places in the town to eat as the cathedral cafe was not open till later.

Location was very central. Ideal for shopping and restaurants. The room was very large and clean. Next door the bishops garden was a large and unexpected place to wander round.

Could only book for 1 night, so had to move for 2nd night!

Location perfect. Car parking outside - v important to us now we are into our early 80s. Nicer room than expected, overlooking cathedral. Breakfast/everything available v close. Got an Uber taxi to Festival Theatre & back, no problem (first time we've used Uber- didn't realise it operated in Chichester!)

The bed was a bit hard for me, though great for my partner Joe. Accessing via a code is a great concept, though some people may want a reception etc.

Great location, very green and leafy with beautiful old buildings all around. Our room had a wonderful garden view that looked over what looked like a manor house and grounds. Also excellent central location in Chichester. Easy access with a code too which took some worries away about checking in.

Too hot and yet second night too cold - I tried turning up radiator but it didn’t help. Wish info beforehand had said there was a kettle - I bought one unnecessarily because only a coffee machine was mentioned and I don’t like the taste of coffee made that way.

Staff were v helpful over the phone but we didn’t meet anyone face to face. Rooms exceptionally clean and location is superb - central, but also quiet. Lovely view of cathedral!
