I can't think of anything not liked! It really ticked every box for a wonderful stay!

The house was perfectly located in the centre of the town, but just behind the main high street making it a short walk to the shops. Very quiet also given its location. The house had all amenities and equipment required for both short and long stays. The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms decorated to a high standard. It was alot more spacious than expected too, but still maintaining a cosy atmosphere. I really did love everything about this house and courtyard area!

Lovely decoration - we liked the colour scheme instead of the usual bland whites/neutrals. A great location right in the centre of Abergavenny. All very clean, plenty of towels

Lovely clean spacious house. Great location for the centre and castle. All modern facilities. Perfect for our outdoor activities . Lovely pubs and restaurants are a very short walk away. Would definitely book again for the same event next year. Highly recommend.

No microwave - a simple one to reheat drinks and make morning porridge would have been good. The lighting is beautifully done but there was insufficient light for reading books and newspapers in the downstairs lounge - a reading light would have been good. To be very picky, the ventilation system of the next door restaurant was a bit noisy from my bedroom (and the courtyard), when it was open, but I don't think it would bother most people and it did certainly did not spoil my enjoyment of the holiday.

Beautiful accommodation down a quiet lane - I enjoyed the spacious modern kitchen and sunny courtyard, the central location steeped in history, and close proximity to an abundance of eateries, shops and natural beauty. We did have to put the heating on a couple of times (September) as one of us was feeling cold, and the house heats up really quickly and stays warm. Bright upstairs 'library' for reading during the day. Occasional sounds of lively chatter drifting in from nearby pub and cafes adds to the ambience. We were visiting a family member who lives in the area, and it was also a good base to visit Blaenavon world heritage site and Raglan Castle, which we did on this visit, by car. We also saw the medieval 'Jesse tree' in St Mary's just down the lane, and Abergavenny meadows and castle nearby.

Towels are too small and harsh / rough, which you get with line drying. There is only one shower. Ideally you need a second shower over the bath. I was sharing with a work colleague I didn't want to share the shower and I cant get in and out of a bath. I would seriously consider this. Milk would be really handy to have as well, just a small one pint. Would get you 5 stars...... Its always the little things that matter. Parking really can only fit one large car or two small, otherwise the second car blocks the alley way.

I like the house and the layout, its comfortable. Beds are nice and its very clean. Lots of products for washing up and tabs for the dish washer. Tea is provided but only brown sugar. Nice little touch with the cake bars & Sweets. Lots of space. Love the location.

As other reviewers have said, the noise from the pub which has a beer garden that is close by. It gets very noisy until about midnight on Friday and Saturday especially (but appreciate not much you can do about that). Only other thing is that there’s no microwave, and a few more smaller bowls wouldn’t go amiss (but that’s being super picky)!

Really beautiful inside, nicely decorated, lots of space for us (two adults, two young kids). Hard to fault the house itself, and good comms with owner. So close to the town centre too, 1 minute walk.
