How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Central location was perfect for our stay, the essentials provided (milk, coffee, bread) were a unexpected bonus and very welcome, saving us having to go out shopping on arrival. Seb was super helpful, friendly and checked up to make sure things were ok after the first night

There wasn’t anything. If I had to find something the bathroom sink was a tad slow going down: I suspect it’s nothing a good plunge wouldn’t sort out.
This apartment was amazing. Down to the welcome gifts - makes life easier after a long journey being able to make a cup of tea or have a drink. Exceptionally clean. Seb the host let us put our cases in so we could continue with our day until Check In. The little things such as fully stocked kitchen, blankets, the guest book with tips. I will be staying here when I return and wish we’d found it sooner!!!

There were no hand towels available. Or a mat to put on floor in bathroom after a shower so when others went into bathroom after their socks got wet. Only 4 dining room chairs when flat caters for 5. It would help if sheets were a little bigger as they tended to come away from the mattress during the night. It was also a awkward watching the tv if you were the 5th person as you were watching it on the sofa closest to the tv. The cupboards in which the boilers are kept could have let the look of the flat down, as did the blinds in the the double bedroom as they were damaged. My points on the apartment are just my observations and are not meant as criticisms.
Location was good. The flat was homely. Loved the little touches of chocolates on arrival and milk, bread etc. Hosts where extremely supportive that I had booked not realising no dogs were not permitted but then allowed our pet dog to come. The beds were comfy, plenty of blankets also. Enough toilet rolls. Lovely shower. Nice veranda.

Nothing to not like. An extra toilet would have been a bonus but would still definitely book again.
Over and above. Booked accommodation only but was provided with bread, milk, butter, cereals, juice, tea and coffee including decaf options! Lots of local information and fantastic location. Welcoming host!

Nothing. It was perfect. If I could suggest one thing it could possibly be a pullout canopy over the balcony as when it’s raining it’s not possible to sit outside.
The location is perfect and the apartment is so comfortable like a home from home. Everything was provided that we could possibly need. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was brilliant. The welcome pack of bread, milk, biscuits, orange juice and lots of other things was very appreciated. Sebastian is so helpful and friendly and communication, directions and instructions were brilliant. We loved our stay and would highly recommend.

There was nothing we did not like 😊
Had a fantastic stay which exceeded our expectations. From the instructions on how to get there safely, parking and the apartment it made it such a relaxing enjoyable holiday. Seb was so helpful and approachable, the size and cleanliness of the apartment was great for 4 adults. It had essential items for breakfast and was so central for all attractions. We will definitely be returning again next year 😁

Only hand-wash available in the bathroom; would have liked some soap. No decaff drinks provided. Otherwise everything needed for a comfortable, pleasant stay.

It is on a main road so quite noisy from about 7.30am. One bathroom/toilet could be an issue for larger parties. It was fine for the 2 of us.
Excellent location. Great facilities - croissants and milk were a nice touch. Very roomy apartment. Clean. We had an issue with the shower and the owner sorted it out very quickly.

Nice to see some food essentials had been left in the apartment. Location was perfect for exploring the city. There was a little bit of traffic noise but this is a city and to be expected. But not too bad.
