How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Car park is a very small row and potentially could be a little awkward. Our daughter and her friend stayed in a twin room that was very small and stuffy
The bedroom, the bar, breakfast, the staff - everything was exactly as it says on the tin Although we never had an evening meal, the breakfast was perfect and the general food menu looks great. We stayed in an annex room, plenty of space and very comfortable. We will certainly visit again at some time.

The Hollandaise sauce was very vinegary, therefore affected the flavour of the eggs Benedict I chose for breakfast.
Clean and comfortable rooms with modern facilities. The breakfast was great value for money with a variety of options. We were visiting the University of Warwick and the hotel had great transport links into the city so provided a convenient out of city base for us.

The little touches. In the room, only 2 breakfst teabags, plus 2 peppermint which we don't drink, 4 milk sachets which i feel is not enough. Asked for more teabags but only 2 could be found, no more milk. Same amount left 2nd night but no biscuits. Dinner, again little things, strawberry pavlova with no strawberries, seasonal mixed salad consisted of 6 leaves! vacuum cleaner left out which staff had to step over, staff were eating and drinking (soft) and then serving, continuously chatting loudly to each other which spoilt the atmosphere of dinner.
Nice clean rooms.

The room was very warm due to the limited window opening and no a/c
It was conveniently located in a lovely area. The room was exactly as described, nicely decorated. The breakfast was delicious and the menu choices were brilliant. We ate elsewhere in the evening and was disappointed and wished we had stayed! Next year we will!

Breakfast choices could have been a little better, Apple and Orange juices had run out but not replaced whilst i was eating breakfast.
Room was fine, bathroom was fine, breakfast was fine, all in all it was fine.

My room (number 12) didn't have a real window, only a very small one high up next to the ceiling, in contrast with the photos of the room on booking.com that do show a full size window and plenty of space. While it did let in some natural light, it wasn't much. The room description also mentions that the size of the room would be 15 m2 whereas mine clearly was a very small room, less than 10 m2. Update your photos and descriptions! The shower was very small and the water temperature was difficult to adjust.
The breakfast was very good, the chef goes an extra mile satisfying your request. The location is good, there's a bus stop 5 minutes away on foot and the town is lovely.

Those rooms are so hot! Honestly felt like I was melting and with my health condition I'm not great in heat. Even with the window open and the fan on. A fellow guest told me she had air con in her room, so I'll be asking for that one next time!

Had difficulty with WiFi signal but didn’t bother us too much. Receptacle for toothbrushes would be a nice addition otherwise had all we needed, thank you

Rooms a very dull beige. Only complaint I have is, I asked in advance if Soya milk would be available, and they advised it wouldn’t be an issue as they offer soya milk, unfortunately they didn’t have any for the duration of our stay,

Only one real ale on draught. I had difficulty in getting the room key to unlock the door.

Continental breakfast was limited, some items advertised were not available and there was no alternative offered. So I basically had toast.
