Nothing to dislike apart from maybe one of the beds could be a little bigger.

The cleanliness and layout of the apartment was exceptional, parking was easy, everything you could require was available on hand. Will look forward to staying there again in the future and congratulations to the hosts for such a wonderful place.

Could be picky but, given the overall loveliness of the place, there's really no need. We didn't have any issues to speak of. All top notch!

Very well presented apartment. Comfy beds and plenty of space for families. Lots of little extras like provisions and wine! Located in a quiet spot. A really lovely find.

Nothing really. A king size bad rather than a double would have been nice ...but that's only because we have one at home.

Lovely large period flat, tastefully furnished and decorated. And with enough pans etc to make a meal , as well as thoughtful provision of salt and pepper, oil, spices, milk, butter ..and a complimentary bottle of red wine. All we could wish for. Somewhere to book again.

Great communication from start to finish. Excellent value for money for such a large apartment. All the extras- toiletries, wine and snacks, and the many little thoughtful touches that made it a home from home. Spotlessly clean. Would highly recommend!

Not a problem for us but just an FYI that the stairs within the property are quite steep and twisty (not a fault of the place of course, just how it was built!). However, there is a good handrail running along the wall which provides stability for those who might need it.

What a fantastic location - right on the cobbled main town square - but it wasn't noisy. The back bedroom and kitchen/dining room looked out onto Kelso Abbey and were very quiet. The property was tastefully decorated and furnished and had excellent facilities which we appreciated even though we didn't need them all - wi-fi, washer/dryer, microwave, TVs in every room, two bathrooms and three loos ... we felt spoilt! The bedrooms are large with comfy beds and high quality bedlinen and towels. We felt instantly at home in the property and really enjoyed returning there each evening after exploring the Borders countryside. The owners were also very easy to communicate with and were extremely kind and helpful.

There was nothing we didnt like

Spotlessly clean, brilliant location, home from home, lots of lovely little touches like a bed for the dog, biscuits, milk in the fridge etc. We tried to stay an extra night but unfortunately it was booked. We also loved Kelso and will return.

The property door was kicked in about 15 minutes after we arrived, the door lock was burst off. The owners were at a birthday party and not able to attend as had been drinking but repeatedly told me "I dont believe it". Fortunatley although it meant we could not go out we could use a big old lock which had a key which would not work outside. The owner came the next morning to repair the lock but obviously after our experience we did not feel safe. Then we could neither get the stove to work and were told to use the microwave.We then found (after one of us buying a lighter at the local shop)that the gas was turned off at the meter. The heating also then went off. The next day the owner got the gas repair person out who decided that a part repaired the week before was faulty. It was quite cold with no heating.

Small dark alley access which had two broken bottles. Bedroom curtains could be heavier, the room was quite bright in the morning

Space inside was lovely, well decorated, warm. Very spacious. Very peaceful. Good access to shops and restaurants. Nice new carpets, fluffy towels. Well equipped; dishwasher etc. Clean. Good WiFi. Complimentary wine. Free parking. Nice view both front; over the square and to the rear over the Abbey. Lots of pretty walks nearby. Would recommend and would revisit.

The bathrooms were a bit tired

Everything was clean ,comfortable and the location was excellent.
