A lovely sized room with excellent facilities. The shower was lovely with great water pressure. The tea facilities were a treat and we made excellent use of the smart TV. The location was absolutely ideal as a first time visitor to Manchester. Great introduction to the city.

Breakfast was disappointing, felt they forgot us despite not being busy, as we waited 40 mins and was then over charged by £21.

We were Returning customers and really like the quirky hotel vibe. Lots going on, central to the city, clean, beds are amazingly comfortable. We will be back next December if not before!

The hotel was great. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfy. Staff were friendly and helpful when asked for directions to the Christmas market. It's about a ten minute walk to Piccadilly Gardens. The bar was busy and had a welcoming atmosphere. We had breakfast, one of us had full English and it was very generous and delicious. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend.

Although the room was on the small side it was what we had expected. It is convenient for the bars and restaurants in the Northern Quarter, and two minutes' walk from the Arndale centre. Great location. The Sunday Lunch was excellent.

I only booked a small double as I was travelling on my own but it was perfect. Very comfortable and clean with tea and coffee making facilities. The location was great, right in the Northern Quarter and only a 3 minute walk to the Arndale shopping centre. I didn't have breakfast so cannot comment but the bar area looked very cosy and had a lovely atmosphere.

Car parking expensive, would be good to have a deal if staying at hotel. Would also be nice to get a deal on breakfast if staying as this would entice people to have breakfast at the venue

The family flies over to Manchester (from Sweden) a few times a year to watch football, and up until the last visit, we had a favorite hotel in Manchester (no names mentioned...). But after our recent visit to the city (6-7/12), we have now rebooked our two upcoming trips so that we have rooms booked at Abel Heywood instead, that's how great this place is.

The breakfast came to us cold, and some of it wasn't cooked to the standard I am used to. Hash browns were very pale and looked uncooked.

The area and location was great, with the trams being so close to getting around Manchester easily.

The hotel is situated in the heart of the city, although in a quiet position. We had food in the evening and a very good breakfast. Good size, modern rooms, which were spotlessly clean. Great staff too.

The carpets were minging and the room was freezing even with the heated air con on. It just didn't warm the room up.

It's a lovely place and the staff were very friendly.
