Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomRoom were a bit dark - could do with some brighter lighting available. slightly confusing check in process
Decent hotel in the city center. Good amount of nice coffee and tea bags in the room, cold beers chilling in the fridge ready for a shower beer. Complementary beers at the brew dog bar.

United KingdomOn the first night of our stay we had no hot water but Ian the super manager went above and beyond to rectify the issue and really made our stay perfect. I have no complaints whatsoever!!!
Decor and amenities were spot on and the room had everything you could need.

United KingdomThe only issue we had was there was no bedding for the pillows and covers for the sofa bed we eventually found the bedding under the sofa but there was no sheets for it and we hunted high and low so to avoid hygiene issues my colleague just used a blanket and one of my pillows from the bed. We did however find more pillows than any person could need in every drawer and corner of the place - amazing pillows yes ( all simba pillows which are amazing ) but there was about 10 pillows dotted around but absolutely no sheets for any of them lol. That was my only issue but we worked round it haha.
Absolutely loved almost every inch of this place it was beautiful I managed to get a great deal last Minuet as I suspect the studio apartments are not as cheap as that normally. I split it with a colleague who planned to sleep on the sofa bed in the livingroom. I adored the little doggy stations - I have 3 huskies so I don’t think I would risk bringing them to any hotel despite being welcome haha the hair would never be gone lol but I loved that little touch. And the SHOWER BEER haha brilliant. I was working so I don’t drink when I am away for work but did take one away with me for another time. Gutted really as I wanted to experience the shower beers full potential hahah. I normally probably couldn’t afford to stay here again but if ever I get chance I certainly will as it was just stunning.

United KingdomRoom temperate was too warm and air conditioning wouldn't seem to work. By the time we were going to bed we were just too tired to try and get help with it as it was nearly midnight. Bathroom also a little cramped but for 1 night was fine.
Great little place to stay for the money and great value compared to the Doghouses. Shower beers and welcome drink a lovely touch. Staff were super helpful and really friendly. Would definitely stay again if in Aberdeen; Castlegate was our favourite of the 3 bars.

United KingdomUnfortunately, room fittings are showing signs of wear and tear, cupboard doors not fitting properly, heated bathroom rail loose and hanging. Shower head needed cleaning. Bedside lights broken. Many little things that distracted from a perfect experience. Come on Brewdog, you can do better than this.
Brewdog themed rooms were great. Above a Brewdog bar - great. Rooms were spacious and very well equipped, better than most rooms of a similar style. Quieter location than most, in fact very little external noise.

United KingdomThe only issue we had was at check in. We arrived expecting to get checked in at 14:00 as advertised but were told our room wasn’t ready. Apart from that everything was spot on.
It was nice having the separate sitting/ kitchen area. The room was spotless and very comfortable. A nice touch getting a welcome drink at the bar on check in and a beer in the shower.

United KingdomI wish there were more rooms so more chance of getting a booking in the summer at short notice. A microwave would've been handy too.
Very handy location, staff were very helpful and friendly, the accommodation was excellent with everything I needed to make a meal and have a good night's sleep. Tesco Express is only a few doors up the street. Although there was traffic below the window you couldn't hear any noise. Nice modern decor too and quite spacious. I'd love to stay here again.

United KingdomNot a big issue, but a chair or somewhere to put clothes in the bedroom would have been good.
Location was very central, only an 8 minute walk from the station. Staff in Brewdog were extremely helpful and friendly. The apartment was much bigger than expected with a large bedroom and a sitting room/kitchenette. The retro record player and selection of LPs was perfect as this was a birthday treat for a music lover! If you reuse your towels you can claim free beer from the pub which was a nice touch. We had two evening meals in the Brewdog pub below the apartment - the food was good and a great selection of beers.
