How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The heater in the room did not work, there is no usb for charging your phone, general decor is a bit tired.
The staff were very friendly, I was allowed to have my room early and the bar area and food were very good value.

Perhaps a room freshener in case the drains smell again and a small shelf in the bathroom to put your washbag on, but otherwise all good thank you and would stay again if needed.
Although there was a slight drain smell in the room everything was clean and met our expectation. The bed was comfy and it was quiet. Parking was good. The staff were all friendly and efficient as it was quite busy when we arrived but check in was quick and easy. Breakfast was just what we needed.

Live music till fairly late, however it wasn't too loud. I was a bit worried it would keep me up and If I'd wanted an early night I might not have been too impressed, but on the whole it didn't bother me too much. I think there is live entertainment most nights so you might want to bear this in mind.
Staff were super friendly, price was superb. Plenty of car parking. Room was decent sized and clean with all the facilities I would want at the price.

Some minor damage in the room mainly to the shower. But nothing that impacted the stay. You may struggle if you need complete darkness to sleep as our blinds let in a bit of light.
Great price for a single night stay. Basics are covered - clean rooms (some small minor damages, to be expected in a budget option but clean none the less) beds are comfortable - tea/coffee in room also. Staff are great in the bar area - despite being rushed off their feet they remained polite. They also seem helpful in trying to solve issues as my daughter accidentally left a teddy but they are communicating and hopefully can find a safe return home!

We weren't aware that that the hotel holds a disco on the Friday night and a live band on the Saturday night. We were also above the kitchen with the ventilation system outside our window, so we only had one good night's sleep out of three.
A well-priced hotel in a convenient location for visiting the Cotswolds' and Warwickshire. The room and bathroom were clean and bed comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food well priced.

Could have been a but cleaner- stains on bathroom floor and carpet as well as some mould in shower. Smell of drains in the bathroom from time to time. Reception for rooms would be better not being next to the bar so you don’t have to walk through a busy pub when you arrive.
Comfortable, tidy, nice staff and plenty of parking.

There was initially a bit of a musty smell to the room but it did go after the window was opened for a while.
Great value for money and great location for the wedding we were attending. Friendly staff on check in and out.

A shelf inthe bathroo would be very useful, no where to put put toilet bag etc whilst using the facilities, other than on floor or toilet seat.
Real value for money, it fitted the bill perfectly for our short overnight stop. Excellent breakfast to set us on our way.

The remote for the tele did not work and the shower was difficult to get into and the shower door came adrift
the bed was very comfortable and the room was warm and the staff where very flexible with my leaving arrangements and I plan to book again in the near future

There were only 2 teas supplied in the rooms and I would have preferred another cup or two. The smell of the deodoriser in the corridors is overwhelming but understandable in a small space.
The beds were very comfortable and the room was as expected. I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and the staff are very helpful.
