Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nice quiet stay only 5 rooms so not lots of people coming & going. There were buses into Cambridge City centre running frequently but if you like walking it was quite easy as well. The room was clean with ensuite & tea making facilities was what we expected when we booked.The breakfast menu was excellent & the owner Charlotte was very pleasant.

This was a perfect base for Cambridge, very clean, quiet, comfortable and well-equipped with hangers, tv, tea/coffee and even a fan for the hot weather which was much appreciated. I didn't meet the hosts but the check-in was smooth, and there's plenty of information in the entrance which was helpful. There are useful shops just down the road and Cambridge North station is in walking distance as well. I'd definitely stay again.

A perfect base for exploring Cambridge, Alder Lodge is within walking distance to Cambridge North station and just off the A10 so very easy to find. The check-in process was very smooth, excellent communication from the lodge beforehand (sadly I didn't meet the hosts in person) and the room was exactly as shown, even bigger in reality. Great shower, very comfy, quiet and they even provided a fan to help with the extreme heat while I was staying. I didn't book the breakfast though it is available if reserved in advance. I'd definitely stay again!

The room was good, with all that one reasonably needs present. The location is very convenient, with a bus stop (bus #1) just across the road where the bus to the city leaves and stops. The bus trip takes 20 minutes. An excellent pub that serves decent food just 400 yards away on King's Hedges Road. We had a pleasant three-night stay. Good value for money.
