Although they have parking you have to pay for it, £7 per day. An error was made & although we knew, we thought the receptionist sorted as she took our car reg, she hadn’t! we only realised this when we checked out, consequently received 2 parking fines, total fines £200, no response from hotel but have emailed them, fingers crossed they sort & no more fines arrive in the post!!!

    The location was just perfect.

The advertising is highly deceptive. You expect to be staying in a characterful Manor House. In fact you’re relegated to outside barracks.Room 201 badly needs a bath regrout as it’s mouldy beyond bleach treatment and the underside rim of the toilet is filthy. You can see it from the bath :( Very “hands off” impersonal reception service.

I thought the rooms are a bit dated. The initial room we were given (King size bed) was infact quite bad & we had to change the room. We were then given a slightly smaller room (Double room) but it was better than the initial room we were first given.

I thought the Hotel Pool, Steam & Sauna facilities were very good.

The showers in the ladies at the pool could have been better, as seemed quite old and tired. Also, the prices for breakfast really did seem extortionate - particularly if you wanted particular items not on the standard menu. As such, we just took a short walk into town for a cheaper option instead. It is also worth noting you do have to pay extra for parking, although for the location you would probably have to pay more to park in town.

Our room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel itself was lovely, although in a few areas the decor seemed a little tired. Pool and gym facilities were great and the leisure staff were fantastic. The location is absolutely perfect for a short stroll into Stratford upon Avon itself.

Drinks prices a little expensive £7:20 for a pint of lager and the £5 supplement for an omelette seemed strange when you could have a full English in with the price ??? Room furniture was a bit tired in the room we stayed in (120) arms on chairs were thread bear with holes in , but overall a nice room for the price and would stay there again due to the closeness to town centre and river.

Very good breakfast and excellent evening meal in restaurant, bed very comfortable and spacious.

The breakfast was very disappointing. A poor selection of continental breakfast, only one tea bag in a tea pot for two, horrible toast, only one kind of bread, no crockery to put jam in, extra cost for a latte and hot dish. £18 for continental was a total rip off.

The swimming pool/sauna//steam room. The original part of the hotel. The cream tea. The location. We had one evening meal, delicious.

We were not given the room we booked on Booking.com, which we specifically chose for the period features. We were given a room in the modern annex. However, after an unhelpful member of staff on the desk finally found someone in charge to speak to, they upgraded us to a lovely room. It did upset me to begin with, but it was resolved. The lounge area was unattended when we arrived for a coffee on Sunday evening.

Location was ideal for Stratford on Avon town. The hotel was old and had lots of character and charm. The breakfast was excellent with good quality food.

Dinner menu. Too many vegetarian dishes and not enough plain food. Price of breakfast. Breakfast was too expensive for someone who only has toast, marmalade and a cup of tea! Could be a proper menu not just one price for anything. Lounge; twice when we went in there it was too cold to sit and read.

Good swimming pool, sauna, steam room, changing rooms etc. Very clean. Clean room and hotel generally although some communal areas looked rather 'well worn'. Comfy bed. Polite, helpful staff

An excellent breakfast with quality ingredients was spoiled somewhat by being served with toast made from thin pre sliced bread. There are several artisan bakers in the area.

Very comfortable room/suite at a good price located in the old part of the hotel. (People with mobility issues would struggle but we liked it) Just a short scenic walk from most tourist venues including the theatre.

Dinning room leaves much to be desired, it desperately need refurbishment . The wallpaper is very dirty. The staff who served us forgot our starter and brought the mains after a good 15min wait , the cost of the two burgers and a mid range bottle of wine can to £77 NOT IMPRESED ! Breakfast wasn’t much better I ORDERED FULL ENGLISH with no bacon or tomato when it came there were no eggs either. My wife’s full English had overcooked scramble eggs the tomato was hard and the mushroom was undercooked and dry, not bad for £24 per head. Would I stop here again, well yes I would as the hotel is great but I would not under any circumstances eat here, there are many restaurants and cafe just a short walk away. It’s such a shame but I don’t think that they covered the restaurants expenses on the one night we ate there.

Bedroom and the majority of the public areas were very good, and it was only 15min walk from the centre of town.

A little dated in parts and I think due for a refurbishment in some places . There was quite a lot of dust around the place . I know it’s an old building but there was a lot of dust on top of the curtain rails in the main lounges . Also in our bedroom, cobwebs from the smoke alarm and also on the beams . If fact you could see where someone had drawn in it . The rest of the room & bathroom was clean I just think a regular deep clean is needed across the hotel .

Great location & good staff . It was our anniversary so had an upgrade & some chocolates which was a lovely touch . Large room . Good breakfast apart from extra supplements.

We found facilities, food and drinks were very expensive. Also room wasn't ready dispite have booked a few weeks ahead and I asked for a twin room as I was sharing with my daughter only to find that they only had a king that the had to be converted to a twin while we were unpacking!

The grounds were beautiful and it had the benefit of a swimming pool
